I just got an e-mail from the Dallas Songwriters telling me that four of my songs made it to the semifinalist level in the "Christian/Inspirational" category. Any other JPF folks out there on the list? I know my friend Jaime Michaels is in the "singer-songwriter" list.
Well, now that I think of it, here's the semifinalist list. Maybe you'll recognize someone you know.

Hey Michael my friend! Congrats! You deserve it! It's interesting to know that you've been nominated in the "song" category, and not just for your lyrics. It means something, doesn't it? C ya, Pramod

Thanks, Pramod! I see you've managed to plunge right into the fray here. Yes, it's nice to get out of the "lyrics only" box. A couple of those songs were performed by Missy Orr, who's a terrific vocalist, and I think that may have helped.
Stay in touch.
Michael

Well, I'm headed off to Dallas this weekend for the DSA awards ceremony, where I'll perform. If anybody else is going to be in the neighborhood, stop on by! Michael P.S.: Here's the DSA page: http://www.dallassongwriters.org/christian.htm
