Hello! Here's a brief listing of some venues in the Washington-Maryland-Northern Virginia area: Iota Club & Cafe - roots/roots rock, pop, alternative and more. Original material and covers welcome. Located in Arlington, VA. Metro Cafe in Washington, DC - young bands, alternative, punk, rock. Jammin' Java - Singer/songwriter, pop, rock, alternative, folk, original material-oriented. Located in Vienna, VA. Website http://www.jamminjava.com. Luna Park Grille - Bands, singer/songwriters, open mic nights, lots of cover material and original music. Website: http://www.lunaparkgrille.com St. Elmo's Coffeehouse located in Alexandria, VA. Singer/songwriter oriented. Kensington Coffeehouse in Kensington, MD. Seasonal folk-oriented coffeehouse series. Starbucks Coffee - all around the Metropolitan region. Borders Books - all around the Metropolitan region, but does not pay any more. Fox Chase Tavern, located in Sterling, VA - cover bands, mostly classic rock/blues oriented. Website http://www.thefoxchasetavern.com Fast Eddie's in Fairfax, VA - Classic rock/blues oriented, bands. I think the website is http://www.fasteddiesfairfax.com, but not sure. There's tons of other venues, too many to list here - but a good guide to the area's venues can be found at http://www.crosstownarts.com. "Sometimes reaching a goal earlier than planned is a great achievement. It shows you have worked hard, pushed ahead and made it happen. However, sometimes reaching a goal far past your original deadline, long after you wanted to complete it, and after the accolades you might once have gotten for the achievement are over, it is an even greater achievement. This shows you never gave up, due to adversity, deficit, criticism and those little life detours that end many dreams and goals. In many ways, this is a reason for even more pride!" -Brian Austin Whitney
