Think the impact and meaning of the secrete may be lost or muddy in the singing Bill.
Not all that clear which direction it is going in the reading.
Haven't figured the " then breaks into" in the chorus???? Into what????
Doesn't flow to the next line.

In two pieces. Sorry about the into.

It can go in both directions, places they have been or places of desire.

Ever go park under the old windmill and explore, laugh and talk the night away, while the parents thought you were at the movie’s. Those or the secrete places that those secrete discoveries or made.

This guy has lost his first love, remembers the discoveries they made as young lovers and the places the discoveries took place.

Damn it’s been a long time Wish I had a time machine

Yes an attempt to capture the the coming of age, the secrete places and adventures
shared and the trust it takes to overcome
the inhibitions of discovery. To bad the excitement and the trust seem to fade with the years.

Got a way to go on this one yet but I will give it another try next time that mood sets in
