"RIDE COWBOY RIDE"©1989 Freeman/Farrell It`s alright to believe In the love that you found. It`s alright to do just what you feel. You can ride like the wind, through the canyons again,
Or soar like an eagle on high.... "Ride cowboy ride, through the plains and the valleys you ride.
",,Ride Cowboy Ride though your feelin` the pain you`ll get by. Ooooh, ride,,, ride cowboy ride". Well, you`ve never been wiser man, than you are now.
And you never took more than your share.
Suddenly feelin`s are gathering round, and you look and there`s Light everywhere....
I remember the days when a cowboy was proud, and rode the land happy and free.
The buffalo ran as they covered the land,,, as far out as one man could see.
"Ride cowboy ride,,,," (e t c...)
(miss you eel) (Lee uoy ssim)!

Hey Captain (Cowboy this time). This has good metering and it is easy to pick out a clear cadence at the end of the parts. Did look for something to rhyme with feel (in the second couplet...therefore after soar like an eagle), but only after reading the second set of verses, so its probably ok.
May be a tad short, though something tells me you've got it covered, perhaps via an instrumental part.
Happy holidays.
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

The rhymes could be stronger, and there could be a little more 'meat' (story, length, etc.), but what's here is pretty strong. I'd love to hear it. Bon Jovi did a western themed song once upon a time that had a similar title I think, but this is a lot different. Nice work.
