I recently found myself reflecting on my life - something that seems to happen more often at a certain age. Looking back, it’s been quite a journey, full of ups and downs, doubts and fears, challenges, hopes, successes, laughter and tears. Never boring, that’s for sure. And, I wouldn’t want to change a thing. Even though not everything is perfect, I feel grateful and above all, lucky. This song tells the story of my life in chapters: growing up in one world, adapting to another, finding my way, and now living happily between both. It may not be a big hit, but that’s not my intention here. The laid-back groove and positive feel reflect where I am today - grateful, grounded, and feeling good. Life isn’t a straight line; it comes with obstacles and challenges along the way. But we only get one - so you might as well make the most of it. Man, these new AI tools make my voice sound so cool. Not a Straight Linehttps://soundclick.com/song/15226980[Instrumental Intro] [Verse] Born into sunshine, a wide open sky Fields on the backroads where the long days drift by First dreams were easy, everything felt right Head of the class, no end in sight [Verse] Then came a turn I didn’t foresee New words, new ways, new identity Stumbled and found it, learned how to stand Carved out a place in a faraway land [Pre-chorus] Every turn, every bend in the road Made me stronger, helped me carry the load [Chorus] Life’s not a straight line, it curves and it climbs Through every low and the changing tides I’ve been lost, I’ve been found in time Now I’m living every moment like it’s mine Through the shadows and shine I’m fine Life’s not a straight line [Break] [Verse] Built something steady, watched some of it pass Then came a love that was built to last Time said “slow down,” made me shift my view Now every day feels a little more true [Pre-chorus] All the miles, every tear, every grace Led me right here to this place [Chorus] Life’s not a straight line, it curves and it climbs (it climbs) Through every low and the changing tides I’ve been lost, I’ve been found in time (in time) Now I’m living every moment like it’s mine Through the shadows and shine I’m fine Life’s not a straight line [Bridge] Somewhere between what was and what is Two different worlds in a life like this Love keeps me steady, hope keeps me free Right where I’m standing is where I should be [Interlude] [Final chorus] Life’s not a straight line, it curves and it climbs Through every low and the changing tides I’ve been lost, I’ve been found in time (in time) Now I’m living every moment like it’s mine Through the shadows and shine I’m fine Life’s not a straight line [Outro] Through the shadows and shine I’m fine Life’s not a straight line (life’s not a straight line) Life’s not a straight line

Hey! SUNO gave you a "chest voice" instead of a mouth voice! Now THAT'S impressive! It's still YOU!

That's what is possible with the new Suno V5.5 version. It really does sound like me. But it's not me. Now i can use my AI voice on all of my new songs.

Why not just go a studio and sing it Rob ? Well does sound pretty good Ben, thanks for the feedback. To answer your question: i have a semi-professional home studio. The thing is, I can't sing like my Suno voice here. Tony can confirm that. When I sing, I have to run everything through Melodyne and that is very time-consuming and it still doesn't sound like this. I could get somebody who can sing to come over to my studio and sing for me. I could do the same with the instruments. But that's also a lot of work with the mix and everything. I used to do that quite often. But Ben, you know how much work it is to get those people to play and sing exactly the way you want to record the song. Especially with complex backing vocals. These days I ask myself, what for? I can do a quick and dirty raw recording in my studio and upload it in Suno. I can get 20 takes from Suno within 15 minutes and cut and paste the pieces to get exactly what i want. Why should I spend days in my studio, recording stuff that doesn't sound as good as this?
