"Take my underwear and run" is not a line that resonates with me.
Definitely like that you took it country, but I'd personally pick another country sound. Different strokes.
It does sound like Texas Hill Country singer-songwriter which is a sound I like to drink a beer to.

Having said that, imo,

the chorus is good.
And the title is real real good.

In country you use AAB verses, use two 3 line verses not so much a 6 line verse.
I know I used 6 line verses in the song I posted but the second verse didn't fit the two 3 line AAB verses.

Ok so I wasn't too far off with the structure. 3 lines 6 lines can feel the same when passing fast.
