In the General Message Forum there is a thread named "Aging rockers bickering". There, I found a quote from Tony (JAPOV): "I'm two hours from Nashville but can't afford the gas". That quote immediately got stuck in my head and I started jotting down lyrics of a song. I posted the song in that thread but I assume, like me, not everybody reads all the posts in all the different forums here. Therefore I'm posting it here once again. The song is called "Two hours from Nashville". Thank you Tony for the hook line. I used Suno for the music.
Update: I wasn't aware of the fact that the hook line that I used was actually the hook line and title of a song Tony had written 15 years ago. His original song is too close to what i came up with. I had never heard his song before but the lyrics and the melodies are very similar. I apologize. It wasn't my intention to make a close copy of Tony's song. Therefore, I'm taking this one off the board.

Rob, it is a great hook, and an original one too as far as I can tell. This seems like it could be relatable to a lot of people in the music business, as I'm sure it takes a lot of fuel to make it all the way. I loved the bridge the most. Good stuff man.

In your version it was hard to recognize the vocal melody. Suno did a great job identifying the melody and making the music sound richer. I have no idea what you were expecting but this AI stuff is really good. All the best - Robert btw, this was Suno's first take. I didn't run it though again and again.

Naah... I was actually hoping MAB would notice lol. I've been sitting on that line and that rhythm for about 15yrs... I think? Don't know if you recall... but, over at SW101 MAB was always trying to convince me to come up and visit. He was talking his usual rap about the country music industry and joked about "three chords and the truth". I was still working back then and gas prices were going crazy. I always wanted to work those angles into the lyric... but it just never "flowed". Then you came along and simplified things lol! Great job, Rob! But, AI didn't really add anything to the composition... and the way it sang V2 is actually kinda' weird... I'll just keep kicking it around Great example of how AI will mimic a simple phone sample though... Others should be very interested in this!

Why didn't you mention that in the original thread? Aah man, I thought I found an awesome hook line by accident and wrote a cool song, now you tell me you've been working on this song for over a decade. Oh boy, another project I can throw in the garbage can. Your original song is too close to what i came up with.
