Love the song Gavin...............and it's a daughter song....how cool is that? All the best........how does your girl like this? Something to keep!
-Tom
Thanks Tom. I sent it to her over there and she loved it, which is mission accomplished in a way . She has always had a tendency to undervalue her worth and abilities and what she can do. That's why some of the lyrics say what they do.

Putting words to paper how you feel about your loved ones in the song is truly an art. Thank you for sharing this personal, intimate work

Touching song. It's always tough when the kids are in far off lands.

Yes very nice song...sentimental heart felt lyric, nice melody, really good instrumentation...
And the puns were a marvelous read.
Don't know if you guys ever read the famous Pillsbury Doughboy thread...or the one about lost guitar picks...but there have been some classic pun filled conversations around here
And puns...what dad worth his salt does not throw out a bad pun when they can?
I have so many now I number them. I'd post my number 288 here but it's too gross,
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

..ant Thanks Ant. Sounds like you know the feeling I think a lot of people probably do, one way or another.

Thanks to the two Johns for their comments. Here's a technical question. There's quite a lot of finger squeaks in the guitar backing. On the positive side, it makes it more real and intimate. On the negative side, I think it could get annoying in places. I'm thinking of trying to tone it down a bit with some creative EQ-ing if I can figure out the frequencies to tackle. Has anyone done this? Is it a practical option? Or am I overestimating how intrusive it is?
