It's been a LONG time since this thread was updated. As for me, I just lay my guitar down flat, get the pick into position, and my hands are small enough for me to be able to fit one into the sound hole to fish it out. Sometimes, it takes a few tries, but it works for me, and my hand (or hands if the pick is being that troublesome) will recover fully within a minute.
