Paul, I presume you mean after where the projected solo would be:

V1/V2/Ch/V3/V4/CH/Solo/V1/CH/Ch & end on "box"...

It's worth thinking about...but begs the question, what else could the singer talk about, there?

Whereas a return to V1 there is the singer, having told the whole tale of his radio and how it finally broke, decides to go back to the beginning of the memory, and focus on that happier part of the story...

Technically a bridge would be what's called for there, in most country tunes...but I'm not sure that it would work in this one...I'll give it some more thought, though!
