Yeah, I was trying to emulate Guy Clark's background singers from his early albums, for their country swing feel...doing that on 4-track just meant standing about a foot further from the mic...back then I had a decent falsetto for those parts; years have tended to Leonard Cohen-ize my voice, somewhat...
