Didn't Barry White sing "Nothing from nothing leaves nothing". John  Without Googling, I think it was Billy Preston who did that song. Billy also played keyboard on a lot of Beatles songs, which leads me to wonder where, exactly, did the "Nowhere Man" live? Midnite
