You are quite correct.....There is a big difference between toy pianos, beginners, intermediate and pro stuff..... also different tastes and applications to take into consideration not just the cost. Perhaps piano players are not as eccentric and techy as guitarists with diff strings pickups and amps etc.....but there are some who have definite preferences.
