Just wanted to clarify that my stream of thought pertains to Music Libraries. Different animal than the kind of publisher Marc is referring to. My music is published by several music libraries. Not one of them concerns themselves with copyright registration. They all have a clause in their contract that holds the writer sole responsible for any copyright infringement claims. Basically when the writer signs the contract he/she is declaring that the work is original and he/she has 100% ownership of the copyright. John
