OK, this is probably a rip-off of a Van Morrison or The Band type song. But, if you gonna steal, might as well steal from the best. Phrasing is a trifle off here and there -- but it is FAWM/RPM! MP3: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8790679 256 kbs: http://www.jkt9000.com/html/07_OleStompingGround.mp3Kevin EDIT, 3/13: Slap Johnson adds sax -- wow! I also the edited the last verse, but I am not happy yet with how that flows. Always more to do. EDIT, 3/15: I am still not happy with that last stanza. I think it is a better "filled-out" idea now -- but it doesn't sing as well. *********************************** Ole Stomping Ground(c) Emmrich 2010With the radio playing and the saxophones wailing it was 1974 down at the beach with the friends all around we were always looking for something more I don't know how many of us found it I guess I never took a poll I gotta say we got what we got and it was better than nothing at all (chorus) I'm going back down to that ole stomping ground I wonder who'll be around probably no one I'll remember and not a soul will know me but I'm going back down to that ole stomping ground I thought it would be so good going by the old neighborhood and say goodbye one more time everything looks kinda different, the old replaced by the new I guess I don't really mind, cause I've done a bit of changing, too everything looks kinda different, not much the same in a funny kind of way I don't even mind(chorus again) Kevin: vocals, acoustic guitar Bethan Mathis: vocals Slap Johnson: Sax! BIAB: drums, bass, acoustic guitar, pedal steel, piano, fiddle ***********************

"Do not endeavor to be the smartest kid in a dumb class. Instead, you are better off being the dumbest kid in the smartest class, where you will be challenged and you will learn. If you aren't growing, you are dying." -Brian Austin Whitney
