This made me giggle!  I never encountered a foul smelling mic. Interesting! But it did make me think! I'm going to buy a mic with my tax refund money. Can you believe...all these years and I never had my own mic? Then again, didn't go to a lot of open mics, been in bands and used the same mic from the first time with the band (whatever was provided to me). Now I can really justify the expense of a mic!  I'm being told to get an Audix as it will automatically condense my usually loud voice and make me sound good to the public. Sang through Shure SM 58s all these years.
