"What do you have that's worth an enormous investment of someone else's money?"

Respectfully, this assumes a person to be incapable of doing it all on his or her own. Recording equipment is relatively cheap, and an artist writing his or her own material can now also affordably produce him or her self, or band.

The only hurdle left to tackle is marketing, but if a person or group is patient, diligent and quick of mind, possibilities exist for conquering all sorts of markets! Indies are taking over the world--and rightly so. I don't like governments telling me what I can or can't do within the confines of a set of laws. I likewise don't need Nashville telling me I'm not worthy. Let my work succeed or fail based upon what I can claim as mine in the open marketplace. If I fail, I'd buy more books, write even better, learn from better writers, etcetera. I'm not buying this whole "You have to knock on the right door and bring a referal" thing. I'm thinkin' there are other ways, so long as I have a product people will want to buy.

Right or wrong--Right? Wrong? The RIGHTs have it...
