First time I have read this thread and to be honest I really felt like not taking part in it. It seems as if a lot of people have got their noses out of joint and I guess that it just snowballed.
I know of many writers who have written 1000s of lyrics and only occasionally
they write one that I think WOW.

I myself average about 30 sets of lyrics before I get one that I think wow. Of course I may be the only one who thinks that. Then if I take 10 that I think have the WOW factor, I can find 1 that has the double WOW. If I’m lucky.

It’s not the number of lyrics, it’s the quality.

Not being a musician or singer, I have to rely on others to provide the music and vocals. I have always believed that the requirements for a great song are.
Great Lyrics, Great Music then a Great singer.

If a song is lacking in one, then IMO it’s lacking.

I did have a look at your myspace and I listened to every song. I personally thought that ‘Send me one more soldier’ did it all for me 1000%, Great Lyrics, Great Music and a Great singer, totally suited to the song.. The others not for me…IMO.

I am sure that you have others that I would feel the same on as well.

Of course if you went and listened to my songs, you probably would feel the same. There maybe none that you like. That’s ok, that is your taste and I respect that.

I’ve been around some of your posts and you seem a nice guy, and on the other sites as well.

Cant collaborate with you as I only write words. But I do hope that your plans work out.
