Just for the record, and so you guys don't get in over your heads here, the legal definition of slander as defined by Websters is and I quote, "Defamation by oral utterance". It does not have to be baseless or proven, neither makes any difference. Malicious is defined as " bearing malice; intending harm " It's no skin off my back, but I just figured before you get in over your heads, you might want to truly understand the legality of the situation. Furthermore I strongly suggest that you seek legal counsel regarding what I have told you. This way you can be sure he isn't hanging his gold record on what used to be your living room wall, and recording his next big song on the equipment you use to own.
