as I reminisce of times gone by

I hang a sprig of mistletoe

when really all I wanted to do
was hold you in my arms once more
I anticipate your knock on the (holly decorated front) door

Now that Christmas day has come to an end
I realise again that we will be apart
My heart seems to skip a beat each time/year
reminiscing about the Christmas days of past/yesteryear)
