I totally disagree with this argument... and I'd truly like to see where your facts are coming from... As I don't for a minute believe Palin's only appeal is to those of a more conservative base..
She appeals to those who even differ with her and her "opinion" about abortion... just because she believes differently on that "one issue" doesn't mean she'll lose the support of women... So I think your argument holds little truth... and I for one wouldn't vote for her only to shift the ticket more to the right... I'm a moderate... and would vote for the libertarian cantidate if someone decent was put on the platform... So I think one has to look much depeer than her conservative right wing beliefs to understand her popularity Derek
