Ok peeps it's been a while but Hines/Williams Writing challenges have returned Your mission should you choose to accept it. Is to write a song based on a color. It can be any color: Mauve Purple, Current red, tangerine orange, offwhite. Just has to have whatever color as the sole hook and title. Sound easy? It's not lol. Look forward to your entries here is mine. (Think Smooth Jazz with a low bass voice) (Think Smooth Jazz with a low bass voice) Lemon Chiffon Yellow Thank I’ll paint my bedroom It’ been too white for too long Need a color that excites me That will turn the ladies on Something easy on the eyes That’s like the sun’s bright glow Think I’ll paint my bedroom Lemon Chiffon yellow Lemon chiffon yellow A color soft and mellow While I sit and play my cello Eating lemon chiffon Jell-O Think now I’ll paint my car It’s been to grey for too long Need a color that looks smooth That’ll glow long after we’ve gone Something hot and full of flair That’ll contrast with tinted windows Think I’ll paint my car in Lemon chiffon yellow Lemon chiffon yellow A color soft and mellow Listen to that engine Bellow I’m a lemon chiffon fellow Thinking I’ll dye my hair It’s been too brown for too long Need a color that turns heads A color that’s bright and strong Something sure to leave a stain On my bright white pillow Think I’ll dye my hair to Lemon chiffon yellow Lemon chiffon yellow A color soft and mellow Make the ladies say, Hello? Do I like lemon Chiffon? Hell no! Tag But it sure made for some funny images Copyright February 14, 2008 Derek Hines All Rights Reserved

"If you are stuck in your musical composing, be unreasonable. Change your environment. If you are stuck in your lyrical efforts, instead of forcing the same old words out, force yourself to do unreasonable things." -Brian Austin Whitney
