Please do not think I'm being ornery and do not appreciate your help (heck, you're the only one to respond so far!).

Memorizing the first chunk before moving on to the next is exactly how I memorize lyrics. I will occasionally review the previous chunks while working on the current chunk and before moving on to the next chunk.

I also understand the storyline technique and use it all the time. Yet, I suddenly started mixing verses in Come by the Hills after singing it correctly for years. Both lullabys have storylines I understand yet, for reasons that escape me (and I have a B.S. in Psychology, albeit a wee bit moldy!), they don't seem to help any.
