How about you offer some SPECIFIC input William?

or, I guess you'd just like me to make all the decisions and do the extensive work in planning several events of my personal choosing without getting any input at all from the membership to achieve no particular goals..... yeah... great idea.....

Sorry to sound dark....but this has been exactly my point in the last couple of threads about the membership participating more in running this chapter.

Look folks....I'm willing to do most of the legwork to put the chapter together, but I need other folks to at least step up and participate in a real discussion about what this chapter should be and what they need the chapter to do for them.

We can accomplish so much more as a group than as individuals. We can book larger venues as a group; we can bring in professionals to speak to us about songwriting or the music business; we can have round table discussions with each other about how we all deal with different aspects of being a musician; we can have song circles to try new tunes out; we can have a place to meet and network with other music people..etc etc etc.. the possibilities are endless.

But... I'm not doing it alone.

I need people who are willing, at the very least, to give some specific suggestions here and there for events that might be useful to them.

It's not a lot to ask.

We need 10 people to justify a chapter. Right now, I have an email list of almost 100 people who claimed interest. But, not one has offered to assist in any way in running the chapter. No one would even commit to attending the last event planned, or even reply to emailed requests for suggestions.

In order to get this chapter running and actually have an active chapter again, I need 10 folks who will seriously commit to attending the occasional meetings and events and reliably offer suggestions when asked.

Anyone?????
