Linda, IMO a dynamic will generally be better for live stage work in most instances so if it's not a burden I would keep it for that purpose. It can also be used in conjunction with the condenser for recording so it's not like you've made a bad move in buying the beta 58. Because dynamics are normally less sensitive they don't have as much of a problem with feedback and other un-wanted noise and sound than a condenser in live on-stage work, particularly in a noisy environment.
