It's a very common tactic for scam artists to try and find ways to associate their names with well known and trusted companies, individuals and organizations. That's why you should always make the effort to follow up on references and never take someone's word for it.

Isn't it interesting that someone here tried to imply an endorsement from 2 well known companies, but with a simply call and email it was proven the connection was invalid and neither endorsed that persons company in any way. Hopefully people will see this and a lightbulb will go off in their head and they'll do more research before they pay a scam artist money. The internet is going to make it harder and harder for scam artists to operate. There's too much open communication. In the past these guys would have some hand picked cronies who would vouch for them, or they'd count on people not following up or simply not being able to. Now, it only takes a quick Google search to uncover lots of info about these people.

We can only hope.
