Kay-lynn I like going more universal, but IMO introducing a new character that has nothing to do with music may muddle it
OR maybe the farmer heard the song and reached out to a neighboor he had refused earlier???
Do agree the money and fame couplet are little cliche
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop
