These internet music sites used to be a party I once walked into. Now, it’s a graveyard. Old posts, just headstones - haunting reminders of what once was. No one’s left, but the ghosts of those I once knew… nothing remains but the bitter spirit that led them to their grave. That's an interesting perspective... When I reminisce, look back... I generally take pride in the fact that my body of work shows that I haven't changed. My spirit has remained true. I feel the same exact way. When I first started recording and posting in 2011, ALL the sites were brisk and vibrant. The air was good. But I have watched this air stale over some 14 years... mostly, over politics. This division isn't by accident, and it affects all of us. Can't tell anyone this... I've tried. All I get is mockery and the feeling that I am absolutely not welcome. And now, a new group has emerged, and they don't even write out a full songs. Just half-measures allowing A.I to do the rest. The lyrics need no craft, because A.I can write a melody and produce a song from a page out of the Black's Law dictionary, if prompted. And yet they revel and rave with what they think they've created. These internet music websites aren't even a shadow of what they once were. In fact, we are the shadows, Japov... for the children here to chase around with flashlights.
