Rap (crap as you put it, cuz its not Motown) is the top Genre for kids, I don't doubt that. I even tried my hand at a "rap song." A few years ago, I watched a segment on M&M where he explained how he jotted down ideas, catalogued them and then put them into songs. It was kind of fascinating. Real bright guy. Until then I never considered rhyming O-ringe (orange) with Door hinge.  That was some of his collected notes. As yet, I haven't looked closely at any rap lyrics that I came across and been able to say...that is really good writing. Rhyming going on. Rhythmic stuff going on, but truly worthy and elevated content, I can't find. Since you are the 72 year old non-dinosaur who is in touch with such things...please point something up.
