yeah but that taste is often informed by what you grew up with and liked as a kid.

Not always, i grew up in the 80's i hated alot of that mtv crap, cause i was into guitar and it was all synth music.

But the music of my youth was still The Who, British invasion, Springsteen Tom Petty, never really left me.

so i might backtrack and say whatever music YOU liked when you were a kid, often stays with you.

The reasons why you liked it often decided by radio and what other people liked too
