New World Tampa Beer Garden 810 Skagway Ave Tampa, FL 33604 *near the intersection of Busch & Nebraska* http://www.newworldtampawww.newworldtampa.comPalm Ghosts (Nashville, TN) Dec. 7, 2023 7 pm -Dream Pop / Post Punk The sound of an 80s prom in a war zone…located in the dead heart of country music, Nashville, TN. That is the sound and spirit of Palm Ghosts, as far from the honky-tonks and pedal taverns of their adopted city as one can get. More at home in rainy Manchester or blustery Berlin, the quartet weaves early cinematic dream pop and new wave with brooding post punk. Embracing their 80’s idols like New Order, The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen and Peter Gabriel to name a few. Layne Lyre (Tampa, FL) -Industrial rock The inspiration behind the project is to further explore concepts started in the late 80s and 90s by goth industrial heavy hitters such as Nine Inch Nails, Ministry My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult and Sisters of Mercy.Harboring infectious grooves with an unchecked aggression, Layne Lyre is a striking entry to the genre. Offerings (Tampa, FL) Brianna Bullock is a singer/performer based in Tampa, Florida. Originally from the small southern town of Newnan, Georgia, she relocated to Florida in 2006 for more musical opportunities. She is known for combining reverb-soaked post-punk guitar with powerful and sultry Siouxsie-tinged vocal delivery. "The great thing about a dream come true, is that it is born with a great appetite. That appetite keeps it growing and evolving and it swallows up all those other dreams you have and spits them back out as reality as well." -Brian Austin Whitney
