Watch him carefully... His fingers cover 6+ frets with ease. Like a guitar was ever meant to be played like that lol!  Another thing that makes me envious.... When his ring finger and long finger are pressed to the fretboard, his index finger and pinky still move with a lot independence, freedom and fluidity.
