Currently I really like the Icelandic band Sígur Ros, and the solo efforts of their lead singer Jonsí..

I'm currently listening to Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" album, but not in a CD player. I've got it in my playlist on my iPod Touch.

Got a load of CDs for Father's Day. Been alternating between the Beach Boys' new one, the Best of Bonnie Raitt and a new live CD from Randy Bachman and Fred Turner, who cannot call themselves Bachman-Turner Overdrive for legal reasons.

I don't listen to much music. But if someone held a gun at my head and demanded that I put something in the CD player, it would be "Leon Russell And The Shelter People", or "Duane Allman Anthology I".

Well, in my CD-ROM drive it's been of late some Teena Marie best-of's, The Go-Go's Greatest & Return To The Valley Of The Go-Go's, some Prince records, a Heart best-of CD, Loverboy BIG ONES best-of CD, and some odds and ends, such as House of Schock, feat. Go-Go's drummer Gina Schock on lead vocals, ECSTACY'S DANCE: The Best Of Narada Michael Walden, the soundtrack to Grease 2, and some others. On my MP3 players, oodles of tunes, including the overture to the anime series, Battle of the Planets, and the jazzy version of the theme to The Six Million Dollar Man, which is really cool to listen to while jogging/walking on the treadmill.

Just listened to Norman Blake's "Original Underground Music From The Mysterious South".
It's kind of chamber music. Instrumental. Lot's of mandolin with guitar, fiddle and Cello. Very pleasing to the ear.

It has been a long time since I played a CD. I have a MP3 player in my car so listen to stuff via that rather than CD. Any CD is just ripped and added to my extensive database. I also have my laptop hooked up to my TV and home sound system. I have a huge library of music and just put my database on random play. I tend to just skip something I do not want to listen to. I hit the button a lot...LOL. I have been rehearsing a new set list so this past few weeks have been playing these songs till I know them inside out.... I am almost sick of hearing them. I have been listening to Yes a lot as I was given a boxed set anthology....nice. It makes a change listening to real musicians instead of the crap in the charts these days. Oh and when I want a laugh I listen to Justin Beiber or Taylor Swift.

Well, I have a Walkman Cassette Player, Don't Laugh, that I can put a Cassette in and play when I go out for a walk. I haven't used it in a while. You can probably do the same thing with a Mp3 Player or something like that. I am behind the times. Shut up Big Jim!

Ray is your Walkman clockwork.....? Does it have a huge horn sticking out where the music comes from? And does it have a little dog as a logo? These museum piece may be worth a lot of money to antique collectors. With this money you might be able to buy a digital walkman....or even a multi media player.

Folks, I think Big Jim has been peeking! Who told him I have to hitch up the mules to the wagon to haul my, uh, walkman around the block to listen to my latest, uh, cylender.
I listened to MUSIC FOR ALL SEASONS, a 5 CD Set of light Classical music from Reader's Digest. I also listened to some Carl Smith, a Major Country Artist from the 50's.

Ray I think I have the same Readers Digest box set but mine is a very old one from the 60s. My dad bought it when I was a teenager. I inherited it when he passed away. it is vinyl with a dozen 12" LP records......there is some great stuff on it. Great music is timeless and has no age barriers.

Hey Pop Todd, I love "Life Is Long" from that album. Admittedly, I haven't heard the rest of it. I presume you recommend it?

Greg "Life is Long"? From which album? There's nothing on any of these albums called "Life is Long". But yeah, I recommend ALL of these albums that I am listening to today.

Greg Aaah. I thought that you were talking about my selections for TODAY. I listened to that Byrne/Eno thing a few days ago, already. Sorry for the confusion. Yeah. I would recommend that record.
