This one started out as "I thought I hit bottom before." strange, but I was thinking about how my mouth shaped around "hit." Another song that probably won't find an audience but was fun to do.
Happy H copyright 2000 Pamela Bowne
Heather on holiday hassled and hot In Hal’s for hotdogs and Hire’s Handling the horror of honor unheld Hasn’t had holding or hugs
Henry’s hat is hanging at Hal’s He’s hitting heavy and hard Helping heartache with humor he’s heard Hiding the hurting he has
Happy hour is here, happy hour is here Humans hold hope, hearts have had ears Happy hour is here
Heather and Henry from Hal’s holding hands Hearken to heavenly horns Hike to His Honor who’ll hitch them in haste Hopefully headed for home
Happy hour, happy hour
Now Henry and Heather haul hotdogs from Hal’s To a hungry hovering hoard There’s Hilary, Holly, Helga, and Hank In a house healed, humble and whole
Happy hour is hear, happy hour is hear Humans hold hope, hearts have had ears Happy hour is hear

Cute! Reminds me of an old TV commercial about some kind of breath product. At the end, the guy with the cured bad-breath problem is sitting across a candle-lit table from his sweetheart and says "how heavenly to hold your hand...Harriet" and blows out the candle on the last word.
He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. Isaiah 40:11

I'd like to hear a rapper twist his tongue around that one!

Hi Pamela,
I don't check forum 2 much but just saw this -- it's cute! I thought maybe:
Handling A HORRIBLE HOLE IN HER HEART Hasn’t had holding or hugs
Helping heartache with humor he’s heard HIDES HALF the hurting he has
Hike to His Honor who hitchES them in haste HONORABLY headed for home
Also, I wasn't sure what the reference to "heavenly horns" means. Maybe "heavenly halos"?
This brought a smile to my face!
Lisa

Thank you Lisa, as I had fun with this over the years, I've tried to eliminate every duplicate word, but I can't believe I never used "hole." "heart" is also legal, different than "heartache." I will also add "half." "heavenly horns" was my reference to a voice outside themselves. Maybe I can sing " Who hitches them is haste" (more tongue exercise)
Dan, I've gotten fair at it, but that was with very kind audiences.
Heartstrings, I would have liked to see that. Thank you for looking and commenting.
Pam

The alliteration in this is wonderful, Pam! My only concern is the difficulty a singer might have with all that aspirating, but I think the right artist could have a lot of fun with it.

Pamela, A wonderful execise requiring a true poetic sense. So much alliteration packed in one piece. Jim
