You can post it anyway! People might enjoy two different versions.
TRUE! DUPLICATES ARE ALLOWED. Post it Scott! We won't have a duel-off for voting either one off you off the island for whose cover is better or anything... LOL!!! bahahaahaa
(Actually - I would love to hear you both - or anyone's - such a great song! ...I hope you do post it!)
After a *while* as in months of carrying on here I may get to a "no duplicates" week but for now we're keeping things easy.
As it's Weds eve and most who are in here having a ball have turned in 2 songs - I'll open this Challenge to 3 for this week I think I can keep up with the listens. Besides no one has done the Secret Song yet.
Think I've got a sinus thing on top of my thyroid thing, but y'all can help me out I think if I fall asleep in my recliner ...again...
And COLIN wins the Bonus Song! Coupon coming right up.
and while I'm extending things so you can post a 3rd song... remember... we still have open for Bonus Opportunities:
the Secret Song! Any ANIMAL more rare strange or wild etc than "Hippopotamus" [font:Arial] (I'm not 100% sure that either "Lion" or "Armadillo" count...) ...and I'll toss in one more: Any song mentioning one of my middle daughter's two favorite animals: GIRAFFE or UNICORN
She just left for college and I miss her really bad.
ok, now this is my 3rd one, may redo it, I was having trouble with the mixer on singsnap and this was like after 4-5 hours of redoing the song and my voice was strained, finally sent the staff a note and they remixed it for me...tks glyn

@Colin cool song! I liked the groove and the melody of it.
Here's my third one, a really tough tongue twister
Title: La jument de Michao (le loup le renard la belette) / Michao's Mare (The Wolf, The Fox, and The Weasel) Artist: Traditional but most recent version is sung by French singer Nolwenn Leroy Link: http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_10500454
I didn't see anything about not singing an animal in a foreign language, so here's my third contribution. This is a French folk song from Brittany, an area of France with Celtic influence, hence the Irish sounding music to this one. The lyrics don't make much sense, but it's a folk song, they're not supposed to make sense sometimes!

COLIN -- since I stretched it to three songs - and Chasing SEAGULLS still has an animal in it fitting the weekly Challenge -- you can still use your coupon for another song ... if I'm making sense. Looking forward to Ann's French song too!

Thansk Linda,
Here is one from the Blue Island Beer Club - Bruce Kula and me - with friend Jayne Kelli.
Colin, "I wish I never" Not that's some incredible music,WOW!
Glyn, I remember now how I esed to love this and a couple other songs by bread. You really have the ability to draw emotion "INTO" this song. I love that!
Ann, I haven't even thought of Donovan in years, this brings back memories. You're version is awesome!
hi guys!! great to see you posting! I've been extra under the weather the past two days - I still need to listen to you all but I'm happy to see you listening to each other!
Keep on posting - !
Geneva - we'll take your 2 animal songs and if you want to post 2 others for the Open Mic Weekend that's cool too. You were only a twitch late
@Geneva Thanks for listening and thanks for the compliment! I've never heard that Creedence Clearwater Revival song but it sounded like you had a lot of fun singing it!
Here's my 2nd one for the Freebie Weekend. It's an original song I redid vocals for my last album.
I originally did this song for my first album but I was never happy with the vocals, so I redid it for my second album Coming Up For Air. It's a song about unrequited love inspired by Twilight. I'm honestly not a huge fan of the series but the subplot between Bella and Jacob particularly touched me. So I wrote a song from his point of view as if he were singing to her.
[quote=Joe Wrabek]Okay, here's one. Got an animal in it, but he's not dead--just upset...

THINGIE:
@glyn - Wildfire - is just beautiful!! I'm glad they got that mixing & timing sorted out for you - it's lovely - your voice suits it nicely.
@Ann - OOOH you sound AWESOME in French... love this one! I've heard this instrumental before - in movies maybe... but not the words! how totally cool! glad you pulled this up for us! wow sounds like a tongue-twister... whew! @Catch the Wind... also very nice - I'm not as familiar with Donovan as many are but this is a lovely job on a beautiful song.
@Colin - Seagulls - awesome song, and picking/playing/production as well. very much enjoyed this one. Nice visuals in the lyric! I may go download if I don't forget! by the time I'm done listening and typing Wish I'd Never - love the Caribbean sort of rhythm and feel on this one too... also really cool. Ooh I like the duet - she has a great voice too! Neat bg harmonies as well. Very cool song!!
@Geneva !!! THESE ARE GREAT!!! You done yourself proud!! Loved the Amos Moses gator song - I don't think I'd ever heard that! it was super fun and well-delivered! Green River - your vox are just great on CCR too. I'm impressed, you are doing better, way better, than you think! So glad you're jumping right in!
@Glyn - listened to "Make It" first - SUPER job on this, you sound great! really enjoyed. You know, this isn't a song I really "loved" from Bread, but I had a terrific time hearing you sing it! "You Know What You Do" - again great lyrics and storytelling you are so good at! Great hooks, and nice performance too, esp building toward the end and the long notes there, great job!!
@Ann - catching your next one! (missed one whoops!) oooh I like these interesting vibes at the beginning.... very cool sound. I'm not big on Twilight either but I like this song this is really neat production here... and the vocal is great as well... fascinating!! wow!! that was fantastic!!!
@Joe - a new one for me! I haven't heard this one before, cool! LOL there's a good hook for ya around election season!! great song! and performance. I looked up the lyrics too and loved your "halfhearted" apology to Poe. All around funny! "Don't forget to vote" - yep that's important too.
All right, and UNVEILING Next Week's Challenge - - - you may record now but PLEASE WAIT until at least Sunday Midnight EST to post!!!
Thank you! let's hope you like this one...
If you can't see the graphic - it is FEED ME. Songs mentioning or about a food, eating, hungry, or full.
um.... hopefully I don't have to add this but, "keep it clean, folks!" there are some rap songs etc out there that go places that I don't really want this challenge to get into ... family-friendly songs please!
That said however, bands like "Fine Young Cannibals" and songs like Hall & Oates' "Maneater" will be just fine.... LOL
Bonus Coupon if you happen to hit one of my favorite foods (haha) ... a few are BLUEBERRIES, SHRIMP, CHOCOLATE, and CINNAMON ROLLS (with raisins!). Good luck!!
**Songs may be repeated this week** so don't worry if someone posts a song you wanted to do - just sing it and post it!
Since you liked the song with Jayne, here is another from the Blue Island Beer Club CD Have You A Taste. Again, Bruce Kula and me, plus guests Jayne Kelli, Doug Willcox on keys and JPF's Niteshift on drums.
