We are looking for an independent classical orchestra / artist with recordings or performances of works by Stravinsky ("Rite of Spring", "Petrushka", et al.) and Debussy ("Fawn") for background music for a new spoken-word CD about the life of Vaslav Nijinsky. Addiitonal recordings / performances of Romany music is a plus. Artist must own all rights to the recordings.

You may be able to license music that already exists. You would have to check with those that have recorded the works and have copyrighted them.

I have done a similar search. Some college orchestras have recordings of classical pieces and do not charge for their use.

I can do that. Listen to my work to get an idea of how I i get the orchestra to sound like and tell me if you are interested. I would probably try to find MIDI file then use the programming already done, do some editing and make it sounds good.
