Sometimes in the Spring v.1 Sometimes in the spring I think of you You can’t go back but sometimes I do I can see us lounging on the grass So sure love and youth would last Caught up in the moment and the mood v.2 Sometimes in the spring when flowers bloom I see red roses decorate my room Oh how we’d fight and then make up And I’d drink coffee from your cup Why did it get over way too soon
(Bridge) It’s been a long time since I’ve seen your face But I remember how you looked back then My heart feels you there in that special place Where your memory has always been
(Short melodic solo) v.3 Sometimes in the spring I smell the rain I travel down that little country lane Where we’d melt into each other’s arms Safe and warm, free from harm Far removed from life’s eventual pain
(Bridge) It’s been a long time since I’ve felt your touch But I still wonder how your life turned out When you hear our song, the one we used to play Do memories of me gather round
(Short melodic solo) v. 4 Sometimes in the spring I think of you I guess some dreams weren’t meant to come true I still hold close the place in time When I was yours and you were mine Missing you’s not something I outgrew Sometimes in the spring I think of you

Beautiful Catastrophe (C)2009 Michelle Chapman
Verse She's a beautiful catastrophe with her opalescent eyes She'll find your every weakness and catch you by surprise Her scent it makes you shiver you'll be at her beck and call It drives you to your madness place you have no will at all
Verse Beautiful Catastrophe She'll take your heart by storm She tears down all of your resistance with her skin so soft and warm Oone night spent in heaven is nothing like its seems Beautiful Catastrophe She steals away your dreams
Chorus She's beautiful She's devious She's every song ever written She's the rain that you pray for and then wished that you didnt She'll reach inside and grab your heart and she'll never let it go A Beautiful Catastrophe,oh God,I need her so!
Verse She's a beautiful catastrophe with her silky golden hair A work of art,a masterpiece and you cant help but stare You'll purr just like a kitten and she'll back you against the wall Then bite you with her razor teeth and scrape you with her claw
verse Beautiful Beautiful Catastrophe Storm surge in my head She washes over everything and leave emptiness instead You'll never feel complete until you've kissed her cherry lips She's everything that's bad for you and still you cant resist
Chorus She's beautiful She's devious She's every song ever written She's the rain that you've been prayin for and then wished that you didnt She'll reach inside and grab your heart and she'll never let it go A Beautiful Catastrophe,oh God I need her so!
Bridge I feelyour schrapnel in my skin, breaking me to my core A weaponof mass destruction, yet leave me wanting more Send inyour tsunami and wash right over me Im a sucker for your punishment My Beautiful Catastrophe
Tag Oh my Beautiful Catastrophe washing over me Oh my Beautiful Catastrophe I just can't let you be...

Wind Wasted Plain
She clutched her mama's old suitcase As she stepped from the train Into the ramshackle sunlight Of the wind wasted plain
For three days and sleepless nights Her world slipped away And she closed her eyes to it The wind wasted plain
With strong lines on paper He’d asked for her hand He was a hard worker And a clean, honest man
Now she looked like a stranger In the cold window pane No roses were blooming On the wind wasted plain
The storm took the barn Didn’t even leave rain The hail took the barley The bank took his name
The time came to pack up What little remained And start life away from The wind wasted plain
On this warm July Sunday The kids loaded up Her chair in the back of Her grandson’s new truck
And they drove down that old road Where dreams had been lain To the dusty reminders On the wind wasted plain
In the sun-casted shadow Of the goldenrod stain The years fell as tears on The wind wasted plain
Wind wasted plain

Tokyo Moon
I remember that summer once long, long ago, When I wandered far, far away from my home To the land of the Shogun and the rising, red sun.
Those days and nights were filled with newfound wonder. You, in your jade-colored, silken kimono, And I, just a child of the West in search of my soul.
That summer season was like a dream un-phased, Filled with late-night sake’ soirees, And the lush aroma of early morning cigarettes.
We professed our love in shadowy, secret places. Alone, sharing stolen kisses in hidden doorways, We frolicked, ‘till the dawn gave way to dusk, And when the sun lay down to sleep
We danced ‘neath the stars of a Tokyo Moon, Your heart opened wide like a lotus flower in full bloom, Inviting me forth to explore the depths of you.
Swirling around like auroras in the sky, The heat of your body all wrapped up in mine. Two star-crossed young lovers made one ‘neath the light of a Tokyo Moon.
We stared with wonder into the great unknown, Along the banks where the Tama flows, Basking in a world of Eastern promises.
Our days were spent living life between the spaces. And bliss, like a waking Phoenix, rose up to consume us Ever slowly, like a flame that ceaselessly burns. And as the stars began to shine
And as the nights began to turn cold, And the leaves thus fell like colored stones, We knew that our time together was growing short. And when the final boarding call rang out through the day, You took my hand, and you asked me to stay, Speaking of a love that transcended all we’d ever known…
With tears in our eyes, we were frozen in time, For the last thing we wanted to say was goodbye. But I was young and scared and not yet ready to face forever. Its gentle gaze was simply too much for me to bear…
And now the years have gone by steady and slow. I’ve got little left of you to show Except the haunting memories of a faded photograph.
And the chill of each lover’s touch evokes that one burning question: Why the hell, if I loved you so, did I ever let you go? I would pass through time for just one more perfect night.
And I remember. Oh, God, how I remember…
When we danced ‘neath the stars of a Tokyo Moon, Your heart opened wide like a lotus flower in full bloom, Inviting me forth to explore the depths of you.
Swirling around like auroras in the sky, The heat of your body all wrapped up in mine. Two star-crossed young lovers made one ‘neath the light of a Tokyo Moon.
Two hearts beating with the same undying desire ‘Neath the faint, enduring light Of that dear, sweet Tokyo Moon…

What Ya Gonna Do (When He Comes Back Beggin)
(c) 2009 Geneva Keith
Verse 1 I need to speak the truth, bout how he's treatin you, I don't wanna hurt your pride, but what else can I do, Your confidin once again, askin for advise, Only words I have to say, That dog isn't nice.
Chorus What ya gonna do when he comes back beggin, From out there sniffin with his tongue a hangin, Chasin those skirts for a tail a waggin, Lookin for a little treat.
He's the kind that bites the hand that feeds him, Friend to friend I tell ya you don't need him, Howlin at the moon with a sheepish grin, What ya gonna do when he prowls again.
Verse 2 There's been a time or two, he's rolled over on you, He can work those puppy eyes, got a trick or two, He's hurt you more than twice, he don't treat you right, Tried to put the bite on me, just the other night.
Chorus What ya gonna do when he comes back beggin, From out there sniffin with his tongue a hangin, Chassin those skirts for a tail a waggin, Lookin for a little treat.
He's the kind that bites the hand that feeds him, Friend to friend I tell ya you don't need him, Howlin at the moon with a sheepish grin, What ya gonna do when he prowls again.
Bridge He smells a hound in heat, He's not the faithful kind, Sniffin for a fresh new treat, Ya better leave that dog behind.
Chorus What ya gonna do when he comes back beggin, From out there sniffin with his tongue a hangin, Chassin those skirts with his tail a waggin, Lookin for a little treat.
He's the kind that bites the hand that feeds him, Friend to friend I tell ya you don't need him, Howlin at the moon with a sheepish grin, What ya gonna do when he prowls again.
Tag He'll stray from the yard every chance, what then, Think ya need to find a new puppy my friend.

Bring Me Back To Reality by Casia
(Introduction) Cryin' out for love Livin' with my mistakes I need to forget how much my heart aches
- short solo -
(V1) Every night when I go to sleep I dream I’m sleeping with you Your arms are entwined in mine And we’re making love the whole night through But when I wake up in the morning I find that I’m all alone And I can’t seem to carry on I’ve got no one to hold
(PreChorus) Don’t know what to believe How can life end this way I must be living Someone else’s dream Yeah, I must be living Someone else’s dream
(Chorus) Bring me back to reality Give me back to my sanity Bring me back to reality Ohhh, won't you please bring me back
(V2) I’m packing up my suitcase I'm putting my heart inside I’m on a real long journey I'm not sure if I can survive It’s been way too (way too) many years I've put my life on hold And I’ll spend forever searching Before my heart turns cold
(PreChorus) Don’t know what to believe How can life end this way I must be livin' Someone else’s dream Yeah, I must be livin Someone else’s dream
(Chorus) Bring me back to reality Give me back to my sanity. ohhh Bring me back to reality Ohh, won't you please, please bring me back
(Bridge) I’ve been driving down, the wrong winding road And, I’m beginning to really realize You’re not just not a part of my past I need our love to last
(PreChorus) I never knew what to believe Didn’t think life would end this way I must be livin' Someone else’s dream Yeah, I must be livin' Someone else’s dream
(Chorus) Bring me back to reality Give me back to my sanity, ohhh Bring me back to reality Oh, won't you please, please bring me back

------------------------------------------ Copyright 2008 Kelly Domino, All Rights Reserved www.kellydomino.comHold On To Your DreamsDid they ever tell you "not to bother" with your dreams? Did they always tell you "it is harder than it seems"? Now I see, looking back, I blindly accepted that and somehow lost my way. I am older now, and I'm bolder now, and don't care what they say... (Chorus) Hold on to your dreams, as hard as it seems- they're a part of you. When they're under attack, you've got to fight back, or you'll lose.... You'll lose you. You'll lose you. Did they ever tell you, you had your head up "in the clouds"? Did they call you a "dreamer" or even laugh at you out loud? Don't be discouraged by those who tell you not to try - they have no dreams of their own. If it's been there for many years you have to overcome your fears and let your dream be shown! --Chorus-- --Instrumental Break-- Imagine the future, and you are just about to die. Is there a regret, about a dream you didn't even try? You have to give an honest try sometime before you die or your dream will derail. You will have peace of mind knowing that you tried even if you fail! --Chorus-- When they're under attack you've got to fight back! Hold on, Hold on, Hold on..... Hold on to your dreams! Hold on to your dreams! Hold on to your dreams!

HE RIDES ©2006 Ricki E. Bellos
Daddy came from a broken home Shattered hearts and fractured bones Just a matter of time before he’d move on down the line Worked real hard to buy his first bike Cherry red with loud straight pipes Left without warning on a sunny Sunday morning Knew he’d never be sorry Just him and his Harley
He rides Out of the blue into Mama’s life He rides
Mama said when he rode to town Made her weak and her young heart pound It didn’t take them long though her pa said it was wrong She’d wrap herself around him tight Holding on with all her might Loved to ride behind him with loving arms to hold him Never said he’d stay But made it to my tenth birthday
He rides, he rides Into the night out of our lives He rides My Daddy rides
I think about him more and more Wondering what he left us for Mama said as she died I had his likeness in my eyes Now I have a child of my own Who holds me in this one horse town Dreamed I followed in his steps and headed for the west I still have this photograph Of the bike, them and me in his lap
I ride, I ride Just ahead of the storm for the rest of my life I ride Watch me ride
Wonder if Mama would have felt the same If Daddy rode up in a pickup truck

Midnight In The Swamp
(v1) It always makes me nervous When I look into the sky I see that full moon rising As the daylight starts to die That Loosi-ana Bayou Takes on a whole new face As shadows and black magic Take o’er that haunted place
(v2) Your skin will crawl with goose bumps Your hair will stand on end Static charges through the air As the midnight sun sets in The swamp takes on an aura Like no man could ever know As the Mistress of the Darkness Casts her spell of ebb and flow
(Chorus) Moonlight weaving shadows As the critters play and romp Bayous all flow backwards When it’s midnight in the swamp When evil spirits moan their chant Their sonnets chill and daunt No mortal man should be there When it’s midnight in the swamp
(v3) Nothing like you’ve ever heard Wind passing through the threads Plays its arcane symphony On the silken spider webs The swamp goes spooky silent Just before it starts to shake And in a pirogue left behind Alligators dance with snakes
(v4) When the moon starts falling ‘Fore night breaks into day A hush spreads cross the bayou As the magic fades away The eerie frolic ceases As the daylight filters in But it’s just a few short hours ‘Til the madness starts again
(Chorus) Moonlight weaving shadows As the critters play and romp Bayous all flow backwards When it’s midnight in the swamp When evil spirits moan their chant Their sonnets chill and daunt No mortal man should be there When it’s midnight in the swa

Manhattan Sleeps © 1998 Jeff Bohnhoff
On a dirty street corner beneath a steel gray sky, Old Enid plays his blues as the crowds just rush on by. Just a crazy old man - dented sax and tangled hair. Wailing out his benedictions.
Crumbling old brick building, Mary drinks her tea. A well-worn Bible and a blanket on her knees. She hears the gunfire from the alley down below. While sirens sing of Armageddon.
Manhattan sleeps tonight Under a blanket of new fallen snow. Quiet as the light from towers pierce the fog Softly glows. I can feel the ghosts haunting the streets far below - Waiting.
A full moon rises pulling people like the tide. As the snow keeps falling on an ocean deep and wide. Each fragile crystal melts into the sea, In a moment of transition.
A frozen blanket, bathed in silver light. The streets lie muted in the alchemy of night. But when the spring comes, who knows what will have grown, In the cracks between the stones?
Old Enid dreams, in the warmth of vented steam Of better days to come. Mary's fears seem to ring in her ears, As she stares out the window at a million frozen falling stars.

This is my entry in the 2009 lyric awards contest, a novelty-type piece titled "Spaced Out." I bet we have all known or had an acquaintance with someone like this at some time in our lives.
SPACED OUT
c1995 Brian Beecher
She favors socializing With her colleagues from work But she must make an extra effort Not to lose track of her purse
She doesn’t want to talk shop For too much of the time And this can be extremely boring By the time the clock strikes nine
So she heads out the door and she Parks next to an old farm field She removes all of her jewelry Then must re-enter by a sign that says yield
She is so spaced out Sometimes I wonder what she’s thinkin’ I never thought I could meet someone Who’s always so spaced out
I need lots of helpful information To know what she’s about And analyze the situation Because she’s so spaced out
I took her with me on a visit Out to an old friend’s house It was more trouble than it was worth She was quiet as a mouse
Sometimes she will embarrass me And show up with bad behavior Just to get extra attention Cause she figures I’m her savior
She may want to sit home by herself For many months to come Then go party till the wee hours Cause she wants to have fun
She is so spaced out Sometimes I wonder what she’s thinkin’ I never thought I could meet someone Who’s always so spaced out
I need lots of helpful information To know what she’s about And analyze the situation Because she’s so spaced out

The Secret (A song about D.B. Cooper)
Brian Merritt 06/2009
Winters in Florida he liked to fish Summers in the mountains out west You lead a great life people would say But a secret weighed deep in his chest
He was getting old ,tongue starting to slip He was afraid one day It’d let go World would come crashing in around And everybody would know
Secrets weigh heavy they’ll wear you thin The ones buried deep in your soul Secrets will want out and eventually win Become just another secret told
I answered an ad in the local press Help wanted for an old man Come work for me I’ll pay you well Deal struck with the shake of a hand
Helped him into his wheelchair took care of his house Sometimes I’d take him to town But I always thought there was more to old Joe As I wheeled him and his secret around
Secrets weigh heavy they’ll wear you thin The ones buried deep in your soul Secrets will want out and eventually win Become just another secret told
Then one night with his light fading dim His tongue rolled and his guard fell And as he lay there taking his last breath I said don’t worry D.B. I won’t tell
Winters in Florida I learned to fish Summers in the mountains out west I’d spend my time hiking along the trails Carrying this weight in my chest
Secrets weigh heavy they wear you thin The ones buried deep in your soul

She Can Pull a Rainbow Down <C> 02/09 David Arthur ASCAP
I chased broken lines up highways in search of girls with cocaine eyes I downed shots in the dark, spent nights in a daze beside neon ghosts from some dream I wasn't looking for anyone then just fast times 'neath bright city lights so I didn't care where she would come from that she'd be there for me that night
She can pull a rainbow down from the sky All of my dark skies clear whenever she's nearby She can pull a rainbow down from the sky
I never heard the siren's screams or felt her lips when they found mine the jolts to my chest, the needles stick me I didn't know my heart had flatlined I woke on a cold slab of stainless steel to a crowd in scrubs gathered there Then I heard a doctor say "he will heal" to one smiling girl with brown hair
She can pull a rainbow down from the sky All of my dark skies clear whenever she's nearby She can pull a rainbow down from the sky
I said, "I've got to know your name" and she said "just someone who cares" I smiled up at her and she winked at me and both of us took it from there Now I'm still chasing broken lines but I do it as part of a road crew Today my wife had a baby girl and I give thanks for both of them too
She can pull a rainbow down from the sky All of my dark skies clear whenever she's nearby She can pull a rainbow down from the sky

Muddy Water Woman © 2008 Erica and Michael T. Ellis
Down in Missisisippi where the catfish grow long I found her and I promised her someday I'd write a song About a rebel woman whose soul could stir a man To break the chains that bind her, and dare to take his hand
She's beautiful, she's animal, she's earth and she is fire She'd all but given up on love, it beat her and it lied Her feet were in the River, my heart was in her hands 'Til she left me all alone...by these Mississippi sands
(Chorus) That Muddy Water Woman Dancing barefoot on the shore Eyes deep as a river runs Heart wild as a storm She loved me like the current Sometimes easy, sometimes strong That Muddy Water Woman Is where a man gone wrong
They said I shouldn't love her cuz she loved another first But that woman, she was water, and I had a mighty thirst That night when I first saw her wading out into the deep I knew she was a promise I was meant to keep Then they found her man a-floating...on down the Mississipp I swore I didn't do it, but someone said I did At first, she stood by me, like the swamp oak by the shore But the muddy truth was rising...it was lappin' at her door
(Chorus) That Muddy Water Woman Dancing barefoot on the shore Eyes deep as a river runs Heart wild as a storm She loved me like the current Sometimes easy, sometimes strong That Muddy Water Woman Is where a man gone wrong
(Bridge) God knows I didn't do it We both know why she ran He's telling me to give her up And I'm a god fearing man, oh but
(Chorus) That Muddy Water Woman Dancing barefoot on the shore Eyes deep as a river runs Heart wild as a storm She loved me like the current Sometimes easy, sometimes strong That Muddy Water Woman Was where a man gone wrong
(Tag) She loved me like the current Sometimes easy, sometimes strong But that Muddy Water Woman Was where a man gone wrong
That's where a man gone wrong

What You Answer To By John McGee Copyright 2009
I been beat like a yard dog Been raised up on high I’ve crawled through the gutter I’ve soared through the sky I been a thief and a beggar Been a king and a saint Well I do when I can And I don’t when I cain’t After everything’s said and you know this is true It ain’t what they call you It’s what’cha answer to.
I’ve sung with the angels I’ve howled with the dogs I’ve slept in great mansions I’ve wallowed with hogs Been up on the mountain Been down in a hole Been given great gifts And I been bought and sold And what I do next is all mine to choose It ain’t what they call you It’s what’cha answer to
Chorus Alone in the silence Do you know who you are? Do you ache from the effort? Are you covered in scars? You got to square up your shoulders And plant your feet wide Show ‘em spring steel and whale bone When they look in your eye
There’s always more riddles than answers for me I been staggered by insight Been too blind to see I been lost out at midnight Been found at first light I probably won’t But you know I just might I don’t understand but just one thing or two It ain’t what they call you It’s what’cha answer to
I been dumb as a fence post Been brilliant and wise I been proud and haughty I been cut down to size I been burned in the desert Been drenched in the rain Been washed in the blood I been wretched and stained You can bend in the wind or let it break you It ain’t what they call you It’s what’cha answer to
Chorus
Ambrosia and nectar Or ash on my tongue Anthems and arias And blues I have sung There’s a deafening silence There’s a song in the air I got more than I need I got nothing to spare The curtain is rising The fanfare’s for you It’s ain’t what they call you It’s wha

The Cave Lyric (c) Andrée Pagès, set to Latin music by Russell Branca
Slip into my cave Feel your way around Pease don’t be afraid Very few have drowned
What I’d like to do With a man like you… Things I rather pray See the light of no day
So my lips are sealed Though my eyes betray All the things I feel I should not want to do... With a man like you

FADING NIGHT (c)2008 Vikki Flawith (Socan). All Rights Reserved.
[vs1] Standing by the window With empty hands I'm hardly breathing
Standing by the window with searching eyes it's you I'm needing
[ch] Fading night Sunrise paints the sky Fading night Wondering if I Can live another day In this sleepless way Only to end up here again In the fading night.
[vs2] Walking down the street On tired legs I've been here before
Walking down the street With hopeless steps Guess I know the score
[ch] Fading night Sunrise paints the sky Fading night Wondering if I Can live another day In this sleepless way Only to end up here again In the fading night.
(br) I swore I'd never love again I swore I was done with all this pain You said you'd be the one who didn't leave- I swore I'd grown beyond naive
(ch) Fading night Sunrise paints the sky Fading night Wondering if I Can live another day In this sleepless way Only to end up here again In the fading night.

Say What?! copyright 2000 JoySoul Lyrics written by Carol Loperena caroljoy@drtel.net
Say What?! Say What?! Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Your friends Will learn To trust you that way. Then people will know your words are true. They'll know that they can count on you. That you Really Are going to come through.
Mean it! Mean it! Mean what you say. Say what you mean. Don't give Answers Somewhere in between. Search for the truth. Look at me straight. Don't hesitate or procrastinate. As your True friend I'll try to relate.
Say What?! Say What?! Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Or your Actions Will give you away. Don't fib or tell lies or be a fake. Deception only brings heartbreak. Truth makes Friendship A blessed keepsake.

I Got Married On The Interstate (@2009 BobbyJoe)
I met her on the on-ramp, man, her tail lights looked so fine Her blinker and my lonely heart were keeping perfect time I knew I had to have that girl as we merged on Twenty-four So I shifted down and then I pushed the pedal to the floor
Well, I pulled up beside her Vette and yelled "I love you, hon" She let me know in sign language I was her number one Our future raced right through my head with every passing mile From first kiss to engagement ring, then we walked down the aisle
(Chorus): I got married on the interstate on the way to work today It was high speed heaven as I drove like hell and tried not to tailgate We zoomed right through our honeymoon, four kids and ten sweet years I got married on the interstate and divorced at Exit Eight
I could tell she wanted me by the wild look in her eyes The way she weaved across four lanes said she was the teaser type But blue lights in my rearview brought our dream life to a stop You should've heard the laughter when I told those stupid cops
(Chorus): I got married on the interstate on the way to work today It was high speed heaven as I drove like hell and tried not to tailgate We zoomed right through our honeymoon, four kids and ten sweet years I got married on the interstate and divorced at Exit Eight
(Bridge): The judge said "what's your story, why so heavy on the gas" I said "Life is fleeting and you've got to live it fast"
(Chorus): I got married on the interstate on the way to work that day It was high speed heaven as I drove like hell and tried not to tailgate We zoomed right through our honeymoon, four kids and ten sweet years I got married on the interstate and divorced at Exit Eight
Yeah, I got married on the interstate and divorced at Exit Eight

We'll All Be Dead Someday by Bill Hoover
Let's have some fun this morning, Let's all go out and play. You know without a warning, We'll all be dead someday.
Let's have some fun this afternoon, Let's do some good today. It's sure to come all too soon. We'll all be dead someday.
We need to fill our time with laughter. We need to dance the night away. We need to spend our time together, 'Cause we'll all be dead someday.
Let's have some fun this evening, Let's do it right away. You don't know when you're leaving. We'll all be dead someday.
Tommy's gonna be dead. Mommy's gonna be dead. Jimi's already dead. And Zimmy's gonna be dead. We'll all be dead someday.
Patty's gonna be dead. Daddy's gonna be dead. Jackie's gonna be dead. Won't be back-he's gonna be dead. We'll all be dead someday.
Let's have some fun together Every chance we get. We won't be here forever, But we're not leaving yet.
We need to fill our time with laughter. We need to dance the night away. We need to spend our time together, 'Cause we'll all be dead someday.
(But until then we'll be okay. I'm not going anywhere today.)

Dance In The Rain Patricia Baker, BMI©2008
He was sitting on a park bench feeding pidgeons Bread crumbs from a small brown paper bag Long stemmed red rose lying next to him Made me curious enough I had to ask
His hands were shaky, his body drawn and withered When he smiled it chased the clouds away He said his wife had outlived all her memories He was going to have lunch with her today
Chorus He said even though she doesn't know me I know who she is, I love her just the same Secret of life's not riding out the storm It's learning how dance in the rain
You don't have to have the best of everything To make the best of everything you have Nurses treat her nice and that's the main thing She's made friends and doesn't seem so sad
Repeat chorus
Bridge I married her at eighteen I was just home from war And there hasn't been a single minute I've been sorry for
Repeat Chorus
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Joy to the World, It’s Christmas
Brian Kinder © 2006
Wake up Dad, you sleepy head Can’t believe you’re still in bed Santa came, now come and see Presents underneath the tree I thought this day would never come It’s hard to wait when you’re so young But Christmas day was finally here And I jumped up and down while cheering
Joy, joy, Joy to the world, joy to the world Joy, joy, Joy to the world, it’s Christmas
Presents underneath the tree That’s what Christmas meant to me Santa Claus and Ho, Ho, Ho But in time I came to know The baby born in Bethlehem The peace on earth, good will to men Emanuel, yes I believe The greatest gift that I receive with
Joy, joy, Joy to the world, joy to the world Joy, joy, Joy to the world, it's Christmas

This Crazy World of Today Herbie Gaines © All rights reserved The path was so familiar Every twist and every turn I never could imagine That road would crash and burn
Now the scenery is different No signs to mark the way Needing answers and direction This crazy world of today
Things that were… no longer are Things I thought would take me far The world I knew has turned upside down The old ways are not working What was smooth is herky-jerky What I thought was shelter is now helter skelter Please make sense of it right now Show the way to me somehow I’m just trying to feel and find my way through This crazy world of today
Glimpses of the sun I look to move ahead Not knowing what to do Questions come instead
Looking for new ways to see Not in colors, it’s all grey A confusing point of view This crazy world of today
Things that were… no longer are Things I thought would take me far The world I knew has turned upside down The old ways are not working What was smooth is herky-jerky What I thought was shelter is now helter skelter Please make sense of it right now Show the way to me somehow I’m just trying to feel and find my way through This crazy world, This crazy world, This crazy world of today

Deep Blue Quiet Places © 2009 Aaron English
if he is the sun and she is the sea in which he bathes from every dawn to every dusk of every day if she is the boat and he is the breath that fills the gale the crest and fall of trust and thrall the billowing sail if he is the sextant she is the stars by which he guides from slumbering sea to port at every eventide
if she is the gull and he is the sanguine song she cries a wistful wordless question posed to sea and sky if he is the halcyon calm she's a summer storm that drowns him in her furious skin hungry wild and warm
ripples in the deep blue quiet places of our hearts tumbling in the deep blue quiet places of our hearts every ocean has its depths that we could never hope to chart it is here that we have anchored every secret of our hearts
if he is the stream and she is the tale his babbling tells the dream of every desert every empty well if she is the cliffs and he is the waves that shatter here steal away the stone in hopes of creeping nearer true unity is impossible we understand but this doesn't stop the sea and shore from mingling in the sand
the wander of the current the winding of the eel whale song to siren's call to sunken soul to sailor's reel to the whisper of the tide they speak of mysteries so far below the ebb and flow so deep within the human heart where only love can go the reefs and wrecks where all our treasures hide
ripples in the deep blue quiet places of our hearts tumbling in the deep blue quiet places of our hearts every ocean has its depths that we could never hope to chart it is here that we have anchored every secret of our hearts
banishing breath they enter the waves for only the drowned can be saved the weight of their trust shall carry them swift so deep below the ebb and flow in their hearts' dark drift

"This Town" Copyright 2007 Kelcy D. Wilburn from the album The Times Compiled by Kelcy Mae.
Your heart is a water balloon I have thrown off the 14th floor And I watched you fall, your aorta and all to the concrete, sedimentary floor And you walked away mostly okay, I don't think I'd expect any more
You're a concrete survivor, a rock-bottom riser, and you walk this town in your thorny golden crown and I think it only makes you the wiser, concrete survivor
Will I ever get used to you not around? To the weight of the words in the poems I found? To the thick strokes of paint on the walls that surround my life and this love that we lived in this town?
This town, this town, this town, this town this town, this town, this town
You're a concrete survivor, a rock-bottom riser, and you walk this town in your thorny golden crown I think it only makes you the wiser, the wiser.

Second Place (c)2009 Gail King
There are times in life when second Is as good or better than first Like the second day of vacation Or seconds of dessert
But there's one second I won't stand for Let me cut right to the chase When it comes to sharin' your lovin' Oh -No--- I won't be.... second place
I believe in second chances I believe in second sight I believe in second dates If the first one went alright There is no shame in being second If you ran hard in the race But, when it comes to your lovin'....... Uh-uh----On no----I won't be second place
I've been known to pass my plate 'Round that table a second time I do love country cookin' Grandma's biscuits sure are fine
You're my baby so you know That you can slide past second base But, when it comes to your lovin' Oh--No--I won't be... second place
I believe in second chances I believe in second sight I believe in second dates If the first one went alright There is no shame in being second If you ran hard in the race But when it comes to your lovin'..... Uh--uh---Oh no--I won't be second place
If I catch 'ya foolin' around You better pray for the Good Lord's grace 'Cause when it comes to seconds There's no way I'm gonna be----------
Uh--uh-- not THIS girl
I won't be second place !

Happy ©2009 Irwin Byron Abrigo - (Chorus) Happy is what the whole wide world would like to be Happy and free just like the birds up in the tree Then there will be no enemies who'll be fighting to be free No hatred no wars they'll be peace for you and me If everyone can be as happy as can be If everyone can be as happy as can be - (1st verse) A world full of sadness could be so frustrating with people believing that the world is so deceiving There's something I like to know Then I won't have to worry anymore If someone can tell me Can somebody tell me - (Pre Chorus) Who's responsible For the children in the streets that are hungry They wear no shoes on their feet They're unhappy - (repeat chorus) - (2nd verse) I've heard the words of people say that the world is so unfair Some people have everything while their others who have nothing I know this song won't change the world But I know it can be sung and heard By thousands and million By thousands and million - (Pre Chorus) So my friends would you understand And please lend a helping hand To someone who's in need of help if you can Lend a hand - (Repeat chorus) - (out) No hatred no wars no enemies Just to be happy

I can't wait to wake up I can't wait to feel summer Again Oh the smell of honey suckles Lightin bugs feel of summer rain
As I’m driving back to my sweet Sweet home the structure is the Same These memories will Never change
Sippin ice cold tea Lemonade Sittin in my recliner in the shade Hopin these days could stay I remember just yesterday
We dance cheek to cheek I know these memories will never Fade
I wanna be at a place where the Spirit never grows old Play some old LP’s on the console Listen to my favorite song On the radio
Catch up with old acquaintances On the phone Take me back to the days of Home Sweet Home
We would walk barefoot to the park After dark Splash around in a nearby Creek Play our version Of hide -n- seek Have fun running in the Summer fun
The smell of honeysuckles In the night air The sounds of laughter Everywhere Stopping along the way At the County fair Knowing our friends Will be there
AS I drive back to my sweet sweet Home The structure is the same These memories will never Change
When My world fills with gloom The brightness of the harvest moon Let’s me know I’m going to be home real soon
Hopin these days could stay I remember yesterday
When I’m feelin alone I remember I have a place That takes me back to Days of Home Sweet Home

And Finally Grow © 2005, Jay Elfenbein
Will I ever find That blessed peace of mind That’s part of the deal? Life hasn’t been unkind And yet it’s such a grind And why do I feel So alone? I run from my own friends and family. No one’s home—I can’t even own my own body…
Searching for Something more Than I ever knew. Maybe there If I dare I’ll find myself too… When I look inside, There’s nowhere I can hide From pain, that I know. But can I turn the tide And in the truth abide And finally grow To love me, the life that I lead in the moment? To love people I need without resentment?
Searching for Something more Than I ever knew. Maybe there If I dare I’ll find myself too…

Every Step of the Way © 2009 Gary Waters
I was out in the shed Working on that old tractor When the door opened up from behind
It was my youngest boy With a tear in his eye I said son what ya got on your mind
He said daddy…What would I do Without you here everyday Cause you've always been with me Every step of the way
I called him on over And sat him down on my knee Is this about that fight between momma and me
He said you stormed out the door The same way Billy's daddy left Now Billy doesn't see his daddy anymore He said daddy…What would I do Without you here everyday Cause you've always been with me Every step of the way
He wiped away my tear As I said son I'll never leave you And we pinky promised right there With a smile on his face He ran back out the shed door Then I folded my hands and knelt on the floor
I said father…What would I do Without you here everyday Cause you've always been with me Every step of the way
Yes father... you've always been with me Every step of the way

Do It Again - Written by David Howard (c)2009
v1 Annoying buzz, it’s all around me Like maggots twisting into my skin My eyelids, shade my future Unnatural bracelets are born from my sin.
v2 My blood drips into the shadows. Invited darkness, a bed from hell. I’m a longtime friend of evil. Regrets and sorrow, I know them as well.
Chorus I’m not going to say goodbye. Don’t even care if you cry. I disapprove of this life Now, you've lost me.
Just make my pain go away. Can’t live another day. You can’t make me stay. And do it, do it again.
v3 Burned directions, that’s what brought me here. A hollow existence I couldn’t see. Ageless Shepherds, walking backwards Embraced my soul and then they stole it from me.
Chorus I’m not going to say goodbye. Don’t even care if you cry. I disapprove of this life Now, you've lost me.
Just make my pain go away. Can’t live another day. You can’t make me stay. And do it, do it again.
Bridge Do it again, no no no You can’t make me. Do it again no lord no
Chorus I’m not going to say goodbye. Don’t even care if you cry. I disapprove of this life Now, you've lost me.
Just make my pain go away. Can’t live another day. You can’t make me stay. And do it, do it again.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Copyright 2005 by D.A. All Rights Reserved.
To explain: the second verse is from a Readers' Digest story about an older women a church pastor tried to set up with a widower. She made him some cookies, ran up to him and gave him the plate, and then ran off too shy to talk to him. They did eventually hook up and marry...
The third verse comes from a famous car dealership known for having cookies around the office. I was in to get my oil changed, it did take two hours, and as I was semi-complaining to the manager, he looked at me deadpan and said "Have a cookie!" HA! It worked however...
<Verse 1> Melt the lard and the butter With the sugary stuff Add the chips, eggs, and flour And mix it all up Set the oven to 375 They come out gold and crispy It ain't no jive
<Chorus 1> Chocolate chip cookie You're a big, BIG hero to me! You melt in my mouth You're so, soooo yummie!
<Verse 2> Read a story 'Bout a dame in distress Couldn't get a guy to notice Her smile or her dress Slid him a plate of cookies Then she ran away Well guess who called her The very next day...
<Chorus 2> Chocolate chip cookie You're a big, BIG hero to me! You melt in my mouth You're so, soooo yummie! You're the secret weapon In Cupid's love army You make the world a safer place For you and me
<Instrumental Bridge>
<Verse 3> True story... Went to the garage To get my oil changed They said it'll be half-an-hour Just like we arranged Two hours later I was kinda kooky Sir we don't have an answer... But have a cookie!
(A R G H !!!!!! I don’t want no stink’in cookie, I want my car fixed! Thinking, thinking......sigh, oh well crunch, crunch, crunch...)
<Chorus 3> Chocolate chip cookie You're a big, BIG hero to me! You melt in my mouth You're so, soooo yummie! You're the secret weapon In Cupid's love army You make the world a safer place For you and me
Chocolate chip cookie You’re a big, BIG hero to me!

Here's my entry. It's the last song from my new CD:
GOOD NIGHT MARY (c) 2009 Jim Offerman
From her hospital bed she asks me "Is everything alright? How's your mother and your sister?" Oh, her little inquiries They last and last And I barely get a chance To tell her I'm there just for her Before she closes her eyes
chorus Good night Mary It's okay Sleep tight Mary You're on your way To that safe place you've been dreaming of All day
Can't imagine what it must be like To be taken from your home Never to return She took it with such grace Always a smile And always those cares for everyone she knew Until one day the phone call came That Mary passed away
chorus Good night Mary It's okay Sleep tight Mary You're on your way To that safe place you've been dreaming of All day
(solo)
chorus Good night Mary It's okay Sleep tight Mary You're on your way To that safe place you've been dreaming of Reunited with the one you love And there's no need to worry anymore
From her hospital bed she asks me "Is everything alright?"
(thanks Ricki for prompting me to enter these awards - I had missed them entirely!)

I'll give it a go! I've carried this one around a long time.
Moonlight Millionaire by Goody/1979
Wanting the golden moonlight in the trees. Longing for the silver in the stars... Feeling the coolness of a passing breeze, can almost make you forget where you are.
Just this little farm that we call home. It's the only place that we've ever known. Open skies above and land as far as you can see.. And I'm a millionaire just as long as you're with me.
CHORUS: Cuz I'm a moonlight millionaire, at the moment I haven't a care. Though in reality... I'm as poor as I can be. Right now I'm a moonlight millionaire.
Instrumental-verse:
We had the long cold winters, then the early thaw... Spring brought us wild north winds that never seemed to calm... Summertime was hot and dry, frost hit in in the fall. I know we've struggled year after year, but with you, I have it all.
CHORUS:
Yes, with you I'm a moonlight millionaire.

This was inspired by magician's assistants..
Girl in the Box by Wendy DuMond
I am the girl In sequins and pearls I've lived my Whole life as your prop With a sleight of hand I'm at your command I am your girl In the box
But that's how things go In this magic show I never know what you'll pick And it's hard to see Which victim I'll be Until we perform the trick
So I'll step inside And go for my ride And fold myself up in knots Then you saw me half While I try not to laugh I am your girl in the box
(Bridge) I spin on the wheel As you throw your steel And the colors pass by in a swirl And if you're remiss And you happen to miss Will you find Some other girl?
When I'm in this chest I cannot rest Because things are not what they seem Your magic's too strong But I play along All the while I scream
I am the girl Who tumbles and twirls never escaping your locks My life is mismade I live in my grave I am your girl In the box

LBJ hit on my Mother Joe Namath hit on my wife I got deep fried American fingerprints All over this New World life
Mickey Mantle put his pretty hand right on my girlfriend's knee I said now we got somethin' in common, dear 'cause you know that boy thrilled me
CHORUS: I'm an American boy And that's what I got No doubt about it I am one big shot Can't hardly get what the rest of the world is goin' through When you're an American boy You got it all comin' to you.
Hitchhike on the highway Elvis gave me a ride He asked where I was goin' I looked right at him and I lied
I sang a song about Jacksonville He cried a tune to me He sang 'This is your world' boy And handed me the key
CHORUS
My mom bought me a six dollar guitar And my best friend stole a drum Two sticks and a pick And a tag along gorgeous blonde
But today I can't even tell you Where my best friend is located And all the songs we sang Well, they've all sort of faded
They're humming in places You can barely hear Like the motor in the refrigerator That chills the soda and the beer
Like in the late day conversation That says nothin' at all Except somethin's gotta give Someone's gonna fall
CHORUS
It's all comin' to you It's all comin' to you You got it comin'

You’re all Heart
VI I guess you’re the decent one To come see me face to face And tell me it’s all gone No need for shame or for disgrace
Lift I You are sayin’ all the right words, like “let’s move on to better things”
Chorus You’re all heart I know what’s on your mind Always ahead of the things you leave behind I know… it’s not my fault You’re just so smart You’re all heart
VII You say better safe than sorry Well, I guess you’ve got it made But I fail to see the glory When all my heart does, is bleed
Lift II You’re sayin’ all the right things But, they won’t help my heart to heal
Repeat Chorus
Bridge You leave me without closure You just don't understand Now, you've had it your way Oh but I still miss the love we had
Repeat Chorus

Whoa! Never got the notification e-mail, but I'm glad I checked here. Hope this is still open.....
Inside The Moment Copyright Timothy A. Perry 2009
Verse 1: I still recall those autumn days Punkin seeds and burning leaves Cookies cooling on the tray Young son hanging on my sleeve.
A hint of flurries in the air Wind had laid the trees all bare Shorter days, just dont seem fair Or so I once believed.
Build 1: Time so marked, as heaven-sent Marks the age of innocence. Scanning pages on the fly. As chapters of our life go by
Chorus 1: (I tried to) live inside the moment. And not just mail it in. Swore off moving way too fast, So I could take it in. As I document the memories, The ones that families share, I was there inside the moment, Every moment you were there.
Verse 2: Young son now is growing up I try to watch, and not take charge Fiddle with my coffee cup Smile easy, swallow hard.
I understand how freedom calls He wants it now, he wants it all. So different from when he was small Future looming large.
Build 2: Time so marked, as heaven-sent Marks the last of innocence. Growing up means moving on My sunset is your early dawn
Chorus 2: Can you live inside this moment? And not just mail it in? Keep from moving away too fast In time to take it in. If you bookmark every memory Like hanging up a sign Can I be inside your moment? Cause you were always there in mine.
You were always there in mine.

Here's my entry.
If We Could Start Again
Maybe it's way too late To stop the plane leaving the gate We had our chance now it's gone
Words came thick and fast Words that cut and those cuts last You bet I know that I was wrong
Maybe there is no way But this is all I've left to say
ch If we could start again I would Forget the past for good But the words I said Echo in my head
If we could give it one more try Take back the word 'goodbye' It would release me from this pain If we could start again
Do you think there's a chance? Anyway to save this romance? Once it's lost, is it lost and gone?
Still be hoping anyway Holding still until that day I'll be here no matter how long
Maybe there is no way But this is all I've left to say
ch If we could start again I would Forget the past for good But the words I said Echo in my head
If we could give it one more try Take back the word 'goodbye' It would release me from this pain If we could start again
Br I know it was never easy I know that things were strained But I know I'll always love you No matter how much things have changed
Ch If we could start again I would Forget the past for good But the words I said Echo in my head
If we could give it one more try Take back the word 'goodbye' It would release me from this pain If we could start again

Time goes by
They wheel him out each morning To the big Mimosa tree That old man was always there And it always bothered me One day I just had to stop And sit with him a while He said" forgive me if I know you " Then he smiled
He was'nt always sharp But if his mind began to clear We'd sit for hours And while away the years Sometimes laughed like Hell Sometimes fought the tears His heart was always spoken His truth was always clear
(Chorus) He said time goes by like the wind Today is one more day you won't ever see again Tomorrows aint worth livin Without yesterdays forgiven Cause time goes by like the wind
He met his wife at Mardi Gras in 1953 Purple flowered dress, hazel eyes, purple beads They danced that night in Jackson square Made love above Desire Raised a son together Then he lost her in a fire
"Nurses say that boy of mine's Livin here in town Blames me for the way things went So he don't come around Seems eighty years of livin was twenty years too long Gettin old aint for sissy's son And I just as soon be gone"
(Chorus)
(Bridge) "I aint worth a damn no more-are you married boy? You don't wanna go through this thing alone" Memories thoughts and heartache passed down like a song It was there just for the askin on the lawn
Out there by the road Stands a lone Mimosa tree Reminded him of a girl he met One night in New Orleans Reminds me of a friend Forgiven way too late it seems We became the best of strangers My ol' man and me
(Chorus)

Sweet Green Fields c Wyman Griffith V 1 I believe there's more to God's creation I believe there's other worlds than this For I've had visions through the darkness I see you in the parting of the mist C In the sweet, in the sweet Green fields of my dreams Where the angels bring you to me And we stroll hand in hand Down the old paths again In the sweet green fields of my dreams V 2 Then it's like sunshine spreading through me Till my whole body is aglow And I feel like a wayfaring wanderer When he finally sees the lights of home C In the sweet, in the sweet Green fields of my dreams Where the angels bring you to me And we stroll hand in hand Down the old paths again In the sweet green fields of my dreams V 3 God's universe seems to stretch forever At least the end no man can see On a starry night I often wonder How He still has time for you and me C In the sweet, in the sweet Green fields of my dreams Where the angels bring you to me And we stroll hand in hand Down the old paths again In the sweet green fields of my dreams

I Want To Run Beneath The Raindrops Kaley Willow ©2009 (Revised)
I want to run beneath the raindrops Feel them dance upon my skin I want to take in every sunrise See each new day begin I want to memorize the smiles Share tears with those who cry I want to hold a new born baby Embrace the old while there's yet time
For life speeds on... The eye blinks once...Yesterday's gone And spring-time's child...is no more
I want to run beneath the raindrops Watch them flow into a stream I want to trace the watercolored path Of a rainbow to the sea I want to frame each tender moment My children share with me I want to walk close to my Maker He knows my every need
For life speeds on... The eye blinks once...Yesterday's gone And spring-time's child...is no more
I want to run beneath the raindrops Celebrate the gift of life Lord..let me run beneath the raindrops...raindrops Each new raindrop...I can find
I want to run beneath the raindrops I want to run beneath the raindrops I want to run...beneath the raindrops

He Wandered © 2009 Janice Hopkins
He’d spent mistaken time in a border town jail Ran his feet ragged along broken rails Drank from deep and dark watering holes Looked near the bottom to find his lost soul
In between….He Wandered….
Never stayed one place long enough to make friends Moving on soon as the road called to him Calmed his mind with lost moments in time Couldn’t remember ever earning a dime
Because…He Wandered…..
He saw the stars and moon more clearly than most On the path jagged that his youth had chose Saw the cities and the cold barren ground Stopped looking back at what can’t be found
As he Wandered….
He’d been apart of things that he couldn’t feel Stood by a circle not knowing what’s real Then he was blessed in ways he’d never earned Gave up all greed for the lessons he’d learned
As he Wandered….
He used to see the world thru a thin dusty veil As his life went on touched his own Holy Grail Cause in his world he found his own truth When he let it take him where the fickle wind blew
While….he Wandered….
Where he stopped he gave much more than he had Even while life was a dangling thin thread Though he’d been an orphan who’d never been found He knew a stranger can survive reaching out
So….he Wandered…..
Then he sang, he danced, he drummed life’s desire Knew he had more than some men by the fire A struggling purveyor of many men’s doubts He’d been touched by a source that found him somehow
While he Wandered….
Though a willow bending in turbulent winds No sainted portrait for those looking in He was carried by the One looking down Who paints His love broadly without making a sound
Cause we’ve all Wandered…..
For the Maker has no pattern for men They’re all as varied as the stars he has sent Takes so many raindrops to fill up the sea All wide and deep rivers all flow back to Thee

PRECARI © 2009 Brent Straughan
Use up each day to the last, join me high – up higher, Dancing’s a pleasure that lasts, whirl around with me, never come down again.
Leave all your cares in the past – they have no place here now, Dance every chance that you have!
Live your life right now, time won’t wait for you, You can never turn time around!
A magic carpet, sailing over vaulted rooftops of distant lands; Horses drinking wilded windsong. See them go! Sailing over Sultan’s treasure, pots of gold in deep sea grottos – ride a jaguar, Hunt a tiger, Oh brave ones!
Would you like to go to Scotland? You can get there on your stilts. Let’s imagine we are there now, They have leprechauns in kilts. They have shiny big sea monsters. I won’t let them frighten you. Or, would you like to play your music box? One more time, then to bed!
You’re so tired, put your headie down. Dear ones – to sleep now, go swiftly to rest, Beautiful, beautiful Heaven’s child. Go to sleep my babes, day is done, Beautiful, beautiful treasured ones. Put you headie down, children have to sleep, All the world around, war or no war. Look! So tired out! My sleeping beauties.
Go to sleep my little one – lay each tousled headie down, Take your rest and fill your dreams with the sweetest thoughts you know. Oh, Oh my Lord, hear our prayer, shine your light upon our cares here on earth, Our dear Sarajevo. Speak from your law, tell me how to survive this madness. I claim your promise for each motherless child in Sarajevo.
It is the night; it is the darkest hour of the night. Who knows what God has planned. Boßko and I must leave them, Someone has to care – someone has to dare. Yes, we will find our way. Nothing bad will happen to us Nothing bad will happen to you. No! I know I must not fail, love. I will be there when you call out my name, I dream our dream, I sing our song of love. Never will I leave you, no never, you are my promised love.
We will go to Spain, in trains we’ll go shopping in Bahrain, Insane? Bahrain? You’ll see if we don’t! We are young, we’ll find our way! No one else can lead our life for us. We’ll explore Ukraine, Ukraine! We’ll gallop troikas on the plain we will, you’ll see my love. We will share the pain of love; our gain will be our love to share with children; flowers of amaranth (flowers in Greek mythology which never fade). This is my promise, love: I promise to be true to you forever, come what may, Lord. I know that we can go somewhere without running the gauntlet of hatred’s dance, Our only chance. Sarajevo will never be safe and we will be happy in the west, Only a bullet could separate us. You are my only happiness! When will this wretched war end? I can’t believe the suffering and dying? Why do our neighbours betray us? What crimes do they lay at the feet of children? Oh no, not in my beautiful Sarajevo No, not in my beautiful Sarajevo.
I can’t tell them, I must leave. Look how sweetly they sleep. Although you’re small, my love surrounds you, Mine and so much more, tiny fingers wrap around my own.
Please Allah Please Allah We cannot stay here to die. Please Allah, Our neighbours shoot at us. Save us. How can I forgive them? I am not as strong as you. Please Allah.
Dreamers, daylight’s drifting in, Silken moon has crossed her fabric ocean. What is war’s int'rest in me? Cannot our souls be brothers? My Allah. Because of war! I cannot go to our market for our bread my Allah. Because of war I cannot find justice in friends anymore – They betray us, Oh Allah.
I never will, never will, never will fear my own death when I leave Sarajevo. Today, I will leave my Sarajevo. I will go to my love where you go. I will go by your side, Heaven will guide us. Somewhere there’s love. Somewhere there's happiness. I’ll follow you. Hatred can’t break us apart. I’m not going to live in this hell alone; alone I won’t live without you.
I will send for you boys, first thing I do. I will not teach you to hate no matter who says to. Go in love; make your peace, Sarajevo.

My World Jak Kelly ©2000
My world, it’s a little complicated. My world, to myself it’s dedicated. It’s not like anybody elses world you see. It’s a world like no one elses world can be. Cause it’s my world And like yours I cannot share it, My world, raise my flag and I declare it. In my world , I’m all that I can be. A king, a president, it’s only me Because its my world.
In my world its all exactly how it’s meant to be. A simple place to hide from all the other worlds you see.
But my world, sometimes gets a little lonely, My world, where I’m the one, and I’m the only. I sometimes wish that I could let you in. But I’m not sure that I’d know how to begin To open my world.
Break Repeat 1st out

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
