Hi Boo
It was my pleasure to have the company of such wonderful people...I wish you all could have been there with us........truly a magic night...to see their dream become a reality.....Andy is now a certified rockin redneck.......and to help give a hard workin bar talented bar singer like Polly a great night off with the man of her dreams was a memory I will always treasure...I dont remember the name of that Scotch Andy brought from back home but whatever it was made J&B seem like Tap Water...Andy played and sang for us for awhile when we got back........hopefully we woke up all my neighbors cause they go to bed too dam early in this place anyway....congrats to Polly for turning Andy into one of Scotland leading exports-lol....American gals sure know how to get it done.....

Hey Tom,
Must have been a treat to be so close to the MAGIC of these two. And to have a private audience, being played and sung to, how special. I daresay you'll remember this trip as dearly as the new Redneck and Polly will!!
Later, Bethieboo

Well my wife, Denise, and I just got back from breakfast with the JPF Lovebirds. What a beautiful couple! Polly showed us the Claddagh ring that Andy gave her. Now they're on their way back to Cincinatti so Polly can get to her band's rehearsal. My wife and I feel like we've just been in a Merchant Ivory movie.

Hmmph. You'd think they had something more important to do than to post pictures so we could enjoy their relationship vicariously.

I just wanted to publicly thank Tom so very, very much for his wonderful hospitality. This man went out of his way to show us the most fabulous time and was so kind to let us stay at his place. Tom, you are such a nice fellow and we had the time of our lives! I can see why people who move to Nashville become so addicted! There's only one word to describe Nashville...MAGICAL. It's like the musicians' Disneyland. Every place we went, the musicians were excellent...even the buskers! There was music everywhere, permeating the streets. We were like kids in a candy store. It was for both of us, one of the most wonderful experiences we'd ever had. To get to experience a night like that with your soul mate, well, I guess that's as close to Heaven as one can get. We DID take pictures, then my dumb ass lost the camera in one of the bars! I was so mad at myself! But not to worry, we'll post some before Andy leaves, he has a video camera. We had a wonderful breakfast with Mike Dunbar and his wife the morning after, really appreciated their taking the time to meet us. We wanted to spend more time with them but I had to get back home for rehearsal (good thing too, we were rusty and sucking scissors!) I was nervous to let Andy hear us after the caliber of musicians he'd been exposed to in Nashville! Oh, Andy's 6'1" and I'm 5'5". I fit perfectly under his arm. I do believe he was created especially for me. I couldn't have been on the arm of a more wonderful man.

HEY POLLY!! Thanks so much for the update!! Of course, we've heard from both Tom and Mike, but wanted to hear your version of the events too... I'm so glad everything is working out and that you're having such a great time. Your fairy-tale descriptions have not wavered since you two met on-line...and it seems you're well on your way to living happily ever after. Good for you, and send Andy my best. Especially for him, in a foreign land, with his lady love...it must be so surreal. I was very sad to hear about your camera....but I suspect those particular moments are already ingrained in your heart.... Keep having fun!!! Beth

Does seem like an ideal fairy-tale romance. No poisoned apples, no wicked witches, no testy dragons... Y'know, there could be a song in it.

Joe, don't it make you wonder what those two've been cooking up the past week or so? Bet they haven't had to throw out 2 7 Up cakes the way I've had to do.

You should've seen the mess, Wy. It looked like it could've been 27 cupcakes by the pile of rubble.....I mean cake that was going down the disposal.

Have they been sober while together yet... or are they still seeing each other through Alcohol tinted glasses???? Hee hee! YES! We've been sober quite a lot! Hey, just because we like to party doesn't mean we don't have limits! ALTHOUGH....we went to see Mr. BOB CUSHING Tuesday night (who was, as always FABULOUS) and we got a bit smashed at that shin-dig. I made a new friend, a woman my age who finds Bob just as entertaining and brilliant as I do, so I suspect I'll be sitting with her and her husband at future Bob gigs until Andy gets back. Bob was gracious and got Andy up for a couple of songs, and then Andy and I got to do "Gold Dust Woman" together (OUR FIRST PUBLIC JAM!!!) Tonight, he met MY PARENTS (that would send anyone on the planet running away and screaming) but Andy was stellar. My parents are very educated and critical, and Andy didn't miss a beat. In fact, they got along so well I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone or something! My 2 kids just think the world of him. Let's just say, he's the cat's pajamas. I'm pretty much the luckiest woman in the world (and he's the luckiest man). We'll post pics as soon as we can. We went to my good friend's house last night and she took some, so we'll get 'em up as time allows.

Hey A & P, How are things going? I guess no news is good news in this case, huh? And how 'bout them pictures? Finally, SAD question: when does Andy have to go back? Hope you're enjoying yourselves.... Beth

I just got back from the airport about 1/2 hour ago, and I haven't been able to stop crying. I literally feel like my heart has been ripped out of my chest. I'm glad my kids are gone for the moment. We bribed them to spend the night at friends' houses last night so we could have our last night together alone. We took some good pics last night...he'll post them by tomorrow. I just spent two wonderful weeks with the most wonderful man I've ever known...he made me laugh, he made me feel loved, we had so much fun together, so compatible, he was so affectionate, I just felt so connected to him, he so easily became a part of my life. And now he's gone and I'm just lost.

Oh Poor Polly!!!
(((((((HUG))))))))
I'm SOO sorry! We all knew he was going to have to leave at some point, but I'm sure that doesn't help in the least. But as long as he's bringing more happiness into your life than tears, you can rest assured everything is going to work out just fine.
I daresay the trip was a success?! I know you must have had some iota of concern about how it might go (I think we all did)...but what a thrill that it was even better than you had hoped for. We need to get this story to the MEDIA somehow. It's such a great one....
The big question is: WHEN IS HE COMING BACK????
Just keep focusing on that. I know it's going to be very very hard....but you just need to keep your eye (and heart) on the eight ball...and he'll be back in your arms before you know it.
In the meantime, enjoy your phone calls and Skyping and emails....just think of it as a romantic adventure...one which you'll be rewarded with at the end by marrying your Prince Charming!! HOW COOL IS THAT!!!
Hang in there Polly -- and you too Andy, as I'm sure you're going to be going thru a tremendous withdrawal process of your own. Good luck to you both, keep the faith, and all will be as it should be....
xoxoxo, Beth
