Stan, I really like this. I'm trying to figure out what kind of melody you might have in mind for it. I could actually see it going fast or slow. Good write!

HiDee Mz Betty!
Felt like an Updated "Fiddle Tune"..almost Square-Dancey.
But..anything Country-fied will do..!
I'm starting to feel Romantic & Happy again..no particular reason, tho La Femme did have another Birthday Yesterday. (Took her out to dinner...then had an evening Housecall...someone's apparently swiped my Toolbox...I arrived with just my Leatherman Tool/discovered the box missing. Luckily, I had spare Clock Oil in the van..& it just needed a chain re-hung, or I'd have driven 25 miles in-vain~!)
Anyhews, I'm trying to write more Upbeat/Romantic ones...in spite of a Long Hard Week here!
Many Thanks for Your Kind Words & Visit!
Big Happy Weekend Hugs, Stan

G'Mornin' Miz Michelle!
It was fun reminiscing a bit to put it all together, (Tho I confess to NOT having a Pickup Truck..& it all didn't happen in One Evening..heh!)
And..perhaps the "Originality Police" will bust me for using the same Hook Rod Stewart did...back in his Britt Eklund Days. But..this is Country..Old-ish Country..so nothin' even Close to Rod's Little Tryst was imitated or contemplated.
The Hook Idea actually arrived because Yesterday Evening was Jay Leno's LAST Night on The Tonight Show. (& what a Fine Show it WAS~ James Taylor was in Great Voice..I've been a Conan Fan for ages..only regret is I dozed-off briefly & missed the Final Monologue!) Real glad that Leno's now going-on Earlier--it's gonna be interesting to see how many of his Original Cast'll make the transition! &..it's going to be interesting to see if Conan's Show "transplants well" to its new California Setting.
Many Thanks for Your Kind Visit & Laudatory Words M'LadyChum...I'll continue tryin' to be Worthy!
Best Wishes & a Big Hug, Ol' Stan

Hey, Many Thanks, Doc-Migo!
Lookin' forwards to Hearin' The Results!
I went to listen to onea Darius Bubblegum's "Originals" the other day..having had that "Lyric Challenge" of his bein'-issued...& he kept referring to "Reading between the lines of his soul"...which I found weird..since souls are rather ethereal things, both UN-readable and UN-linear. But..the guy CAN sing & arrange. Nevertheless..so can you & so can I. And several Million Other Folks, too. So..WHERE he gets his "Superiority Complex" I got NO Idea.
I'll listen to More of His Stuff...so I don't get accused of picking on "One Bad One" & neglecting his Other Offerings. But it's already obvious we're dealing with an Ego that feeds by trying to debase those around it. (Isn't that kinda how Bacteria operate?) ;-)>
Waal..back to writing The Next One...& Thanks for the Musical "Assist" Amigo!
Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Stan MY bully pal Big M here posted one song only and got few comments from folks about his singing. MAybe they commented or just a simple back pat because he is a newbie and of course we treat all newbies with respect and interest so we folks increase in numbers and inspire them to write more. But no comment on his lyrics part because if you going to analyze it it is too complicated I will discuss this below. After that he never posted again he go straight with me and started to discredit me in every post I do.
He write very slow this is what I recalled that this particular song took him 4 years to finish and the period of 4 year the content of the lyrics is I should say has no focus.
This guy really has a superiority complex and I agree. That is why we never included him in our project he is really a pain in the ass with a lot of EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE from the past. Even in one local forum here he dominated the discussions and bully everything. Thats why I never go back there and concentrate all my bandwidth here in JPF. I never want to cross him again because I think this is his only road to become popular because if I make a hit in the future he will also be noticed and this is bad for me.
He has one cut here a tagalog recorded by this male recoding artist but that was 15-20 years ago. Never become a hit and I dont know if he was paid advance royalties for that. Unfortunately he never had another cut that will claim that he is really a good one here. I dont know if he has a fanbase here but seeing his looks he got this face only a mother can love. His protruded upper incisors is a false teeth and the edge of the teeth that connect his gums turns black already you might expect he is having a halitosis. WE should pity this guy because he dont have stable cash flow for his dentist check-up.
This a typical curmudgeon, dont lure in his trap he is an EMOTIONAL VAMPIRE and that is his way to gain attention.
When I heard this particular song long time ago I say his song has no central focus of melody its like you seeing a collage of no poorly taken picture or like hearing several hit song in smorgashboard.
This is my analysis in his lyrics if you notice there is no central theme and no direction. You also have your own interpretation.
There's somethin' in your mind a thing you just can't see We're ordinary people in an extraordinary place
If you read it hes telling something that cannot be seen by their naked eye, because they are just normal people. Fine, but the extraordinary there to me as a writer makes this verse so complicated that needs more explanation. If I am the writer I will use the ordinary place instead of extraordinary place. Extraordinary means special, remarkable or not the usual one.
SO what this special place that something in their mind that they cannot see by their normal eyes. You cannot see whats on your mind unless you are mind reader a special power only given to extraordinary people.
II I have been a fool obeyin' every rule with ordinary reasons to extraordinary things you say can we find another way?
As a reader of books or poem I expect he will elaborate it here regarding this something that cant be seen that he is bragging about. But instead he goes nowhere, he dodge the reader or the listener that is why no wonder for so many years this song is still in his own portfolio and no publisher will take a risk.
He repeated ordinary and extraordinary. Is this the title? Nope. is this the hook? nope again. You see this particular song we have a reason to turned this down unless he should agree in our terms.
Chorus I've been down these roads before is there somethin' more? they all lead to the same place You have heard all these words before Is there something more? when you read between the lines of my soul
Now this is the best part. BEfore they cannot see something now the other person can read between the lines of his soul. I dont think this is a metaphor of something but to me the lyrics aint going nowhere. CAn you read my soul Stan? What is in between the lines of his soul? I wonder.
Now take a look cliche's are everywhere in his chorus. I can sing this hit song using "Ive been down this road before its over now keep coming back for more", or Is there something more by Korn and Hobbastank,.
AGain he dodge his reader by writing this garbage and again no direction. Surprised he claimed that he is a professional songwriter here and he is better than you. Oh my god no wonder with this kind of song has no potential even our company will turn down this song.
III
It's so hard to find and much harder wait We're ordinary faces in an extraordinary time of day can we find the words to say?
Now the 3rd verse take a read Stan you know you are english speaker and Im not but seeing this verse my mind hurts. Like Im having difficulty to solve this sudoku puzzles.
Its hard to find what? what hes waiting?
Now he inserted ordinary faces in extraordinary time of the day. What time is that? can you figure? did he mentioned it?
Again a different dodging scheme and I think only Neo in the matrix can do it now Big M has this capability too. Well he still not going anywhere and no central theme. Bridge I can't believe it myself Don't know if I'm to go or to stay
Now the bridge this is the worse giving his bridge and there is no way to connect them all.
Stan you are very very prolific writer. Even a non native english speaker like me are being impressed by your works. Everyday I read your works and I evolve into a better person and a better songwriter. This loser claiming he is more good than you is full of crap. To me he is just still in the primordial or in evolutionary soup in songwriting that need a gazillions of possibilities to get a hit. Or he really needs an intelligent designs probably another english writer just like you to help him to get there. If he is the one writing english song from himself with this kind of lyrics I discussed with you what do you think?
Take this numbers. 3 songs for the last 20 years. Probabilities increase to gazillions more.
Just wait for my melody buddy.

G'Mornin' Doc-Migo!
I really don't lose any sleep over ANYONE Bangin'-on-mah-Babies!
We are ALL engaged in a rather STEEP "Learning Curve" towards that All-Validating "Hit Song"...and at any-given-time, I'm about 2000 Lyrics "Ahead" of The Competition.
I can rhyme Anything-Given...pen in Most-Current-Styles..HEAR My Share of Melodies, tho I prefer to Defer to the Musicos..always makes for a better Result. NO Ego-Problemo with MY Not Singing The Demo...hey..I'll sing some when I get Time for it..maybe a year from now..we'll see. (& just got Another Royalty Check back from Chuck Crowe yesterday for "It's All Been Done Before" on his latest REALLY GOOD CD!) My own stuff at CDBaby.com/TampaStan still provides Monthly-Beer-Money...&..we'll know fairly-soon IF I'm headed out to Branson, MO for "My Last Shot" at Stardom...heh! (I currently have $750K "Reasons" for staying in Tampa...BUT..when the Street Clock & Fan Collection & Pink Place finally SELL-Off...there's not MUCH reason to stay here ALL-year-long..other than 2 MORE Houses..another $750K-worth..to dispose of.)(We'll proly keep the Cheap One to come back to...time-to-time).
In short..I got nothing much Left To Prove..other than "The Hit"..heh..as a Songwriter. As a Businessman...think I've been Adequate. As a "Retiree" in the Music Game...think I can be dangerous-enough..in the 20-or-so years I got left.
As for Darius Bubblegum..& His Clone..they STILL got a long ways to Catch-Up on Whatever He/They set out to prove.
JMO of course...& What Do I Know?
Best Wishes, Amigo...& remember the "Bacteria" Line whenever "they" get to ya.

Hi Stan, Just wanted to say that altough you have proven that you dont need to impress anyone...I'm impressed.I have also noted your ability to pretty much rhyme with anything.Although I am no where even close to being in your league as far as your writing skills, its kinda nice for people to assume that I am...lol.your a good writer, but more importantly you are a good guy, that puts you in a different league entirely from many, and definitely from a few who have recently shown thier true colors on the lyric board . Stan Now Im free with the judging remember you enlisted me there honestly ive learned a lot thats is why im faster now and better.
These two in the primordial soup has to prove something from us. And the way I see it we are a thousand light years ahead from them.
You see the parody I can produced in one sitting. When i wrote melody to one of Michelle song is like im doing this defacating routine without some bothering piles. VEry smooth very easy too and now Ive heard she asked Heather to deliver the vocals.
In the next weeks we are mass producing more and more songs. Just keep writing whatever it is I will gladly offer my musical experience.
Oh I forgot big M dont play any instruments. No musical backround and he uses his deaf ears to create no sense songs.

Lynman, I'm very happy that writing the music for my lyrics went so smoothly, and did not cause you any pain.It is a very beautiful melody and I feel Heather will do a wonderful job.I've posted another song of mine (on which she did the vocals)on the MP3 board. Her voice is amazing.Just want to say that the analogy that you used wasnt very pleasant....lol,but I am very grateful to you for working with me on the song. You are very talented! Howdy Stan, I found this to be very enjoyble. The tag, though, I am not sure it fits the rest of the song, but that's just me. The a Lot--on the end of the one chorus, not sure that works as well as the other words, but you can keep or sweep. You have a great imagination and put us right there in the midst of it all. good work!! Kimberly

"Reading between the lines of his soul"...which I found weird..since souls are rather ethereal things, both UN-readable and UN-linear. But..the guy CAN sing & arrange. Nevertheless..so can you & so can I. Puh_LEAASE don't delve into anything you can't understand. AND DOUBLE PUH-LEEAASE, don't ever compare yourselves to me - I feel insulted. Really, such a stretch for you to say that "nevertheless..." phrase.

Theres some primordial soup talking nonsense here. DO you have any idea? Got the melody already but I try to record it so you can hear it but I was tapped by Brian in the RnB genre and almost close to 140 songs to sieve.

Stan, this has a very romantic feel. Well ok except for the word "nostrils". It just sounds like a more primal than romantic word.

Hi Again, Mz Michelle!
As James Taylor once sang So Well, "Thank You for Being a Friend".
(And a True-Blue one at that! Very Much Appreciated!)
I've long ago learned "Ya Can't Please Everyone, So Ya Gotta Please Yourself." (Thanks, poor unfortunate Rick Nelson, for such a Great Song & a Great Line!)
It applies to More Than Music... I frankly respect Gary's work, because he knows Just WHO He Wants to Please. So, when I feed him my "Outsider's Viewpoint"..it's just that...K-O-S. It's nothing "Personal"...just Critique.
But..when I gave one of the Terrible Twosome the very SLIGHTEST of Crits on HIS lyrics...notice the Personal Attack that followed. (Of course, my comparing him/them to Lower Life Forms may not have exactly Helped The Situation..but the Analogy seemed an apt one...& the Venom arrived Right On-Schedule.)
No Matter...I'll probably listen-further & supply More Crits to Brother Babylon. The Truth might set him free, but don't count on it...heh! Nevertheless, Honest Feedback is Honest Feedback/I'd assume any Artiste that puts his wares "Up For Inspection" is expecting SOME Feedback, for better..or whatever.
Keep On Happily A-Writing, & Stay Tuned... ;-)>
Many Thanks, Good Friend & Writer, & a Big Hug Backatcha, Stan

Hi Again, Favorite Doc!
I'll get back to the Parodies soon..just hadda make a Bundle of Money to cover my 3 Houses' Mortgages...in 10 days, from "Zero". Tomorrow, that's done/I got a bitta Free Time (In-between 2 housecalls & settin' up the Fan Museum so La Femme can run it in My Absence..(over 200 reasons NOT to be there..heh!))
Saw Pixar's "UP" tonight...really Good Animated Feature..Local Movie Crit gave it an "A". QUITE an Adventure Story..&..heh..it's much about a Retiree-with-a-Temper...(YAYYY!) I'd give it a "9-outta-10" myself! Check it out when ya get it there!
Thanks Again, & Happy What's-Left-of-The-Weekend, Amigo! Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Hi Stan,
I think this is really nice. It has a romantic and gentle feel to it. I agree with John with the nostrils line...and Kimberly with the tag and the city line. That first chorus is a gem! And there's lots of nice images in there to take us where it wants to go.

HiDee Mz Kim, & Thanks for the Visite!
I've already shortened the Tag once, may whack it off altogether, & am Always Very Open to any Sugs on it that'll improve the Exit Strategy!
COULD stick with a Non-Morphing Chorus..but thought I'd pop-in a few Changes & see if they stuck to the wall... As a GUY, I'd of course prefer "A Lot"...but WILL listen to any further feminine discord on that line if it's THAT far "off" from Get-Awayable-With.
Sorty figured Both Genders'd enjoy The Gettaway here..& I'm thrilled at the Feminine Turnout so-far!
(Boy, if I ever take up Cheatin' Again, I'm headin' out & buyin' me a CANOE!~) (What IS it about Water & Sunsets..anyways?) ;-)>
Thanks Again for the "Catches" M'LadyChum, they shall truly be "Mulled Over!" Best Wishes & Big Weekend Hugs Backatcha, Stan

Since the Doc is really stupid and contends that I don't reveal my real name, probably since he thinks I am ashamed of it, it's high time I reveal it. My real name is ( re-edited, I'm getting spam again). I was born 19 November 69, which makes me a few months shy of 40, yet people say I don't look anything above 39 (and Lynman, it's a joke). You can look me up through google or Yahoo, and you can see that a certain point in my design career, I've designed fonts. This was fun to do, but, I've accumulated so much junk mail I had to cancel a couple of email accounts and "hide" my name with pseudonyms. I have been Mack Wyman, Matanglawin, MatanglawinX among others, and currently, I am also XanderX, Xmanila or simply X in my song/Band credits. People who know me personally can call me Tony. Let me list down Lynman's misconceptions borne out of ignorance of the FACTS I told him. 1. I don't have musical background.I was a member of the Rondalla and a few choirs during the span of my youth. In high school, I was a member of the Drum and Lyre Ensemble, handling ALL the drums in rotation. During college, I attended the Mapua Institute of Technology and took up Electrical Engineering instead of Fine Arts or even Music, under pressure from my sisters and other siblings since I have better chances of getting jobs if I took up the former. They couldn't have been more wrong, but I don't blame them, I actually blame myself for not pursuing what my heart wanted, but later realized the advantages of having fully functioning left and right brains, in my later work as a Graphic Designer. I have also been active as a choir member, and have later formed The Mapua Music Society. That organization is still alive today, a legacy I've left in an institution devoted to science. 2. That I "don't" play instruments. I "can't" read notes.Yes, I don't play. But it doesn't mean I can't. I have mine own guitar, the current one, I've named Maxine. I've also played the drums, not on a regular basis, and now, I am severely out of practice. I "can't" read notes. More like I'd rather VISUALLY HEAR the notes. I can see notes linearly, that's why I can identify notes faster with a keyboard. But strangely, I can play better with a guitar. Now, would you call this not being able to play? http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6703225Sure, I cheated with GarageBand (which came free with the Mac and is NOT pirated software) by laying down the drums and the bass via software. I used VERY LITTLE effects because I don't believe I need to hide my vocal quality to enhance it. 3. I write slow.Yes. Because I don't copy other lyrics or repeat melodies. The songs actually develop in time, as certain stories in my life unfold. To wit, I just finished one which actually took a year for me to write THE FINAL part which was the bridge and part of the chorus. I don't force songs and lyrics, they basically write themselves. That song above, "April's Fool," took about a month to write, from the time I was tinkering with another song's chords I also write prose and poetry, and even with poems, I write exclusively as poems. I have never made ANY of mine poetry into a song. It doesn't work that way for me. I have about 3 melodies brewing, waiting for the perfect stories to match with. And, in my more than 3 decades of writing prose, poetry and whatnots, I've never used one of my poems to make a song. All my lyrics are basically distinct from my poems. 4. That I'm deaf. He's a doctor. He should know better that hard of hearing IS NOT deaf. In my 4 years of highschool, I have been exposed to loud noises during practice and performance. I have certain difficulties hearing certain words, NOT because I can't hear them, but because I didn't process it fast enough to understand. Hence, I have problems hearing spoken words. As a public speaker and teacher, I am compelled to LISTEN to my attendees else, my effectiveness in delivering my presentation is shot. In music, I can actually hear well, especially during recording and mastering. Like any engineer, I have to attune myself into hearing. 5. That I'm not a PRO songwriter, nor have won any awards or competitions. Two of my old songs are worth noting, since both placed second in separate competitions. "You're the One/Jesika" won 2nd in the Metro Manila Music Competition in late 80s, during which I formed MMS. This song was later picked up by Alpha Records and became released under one of Richard Reynoso's Album, and was later included in the CD version. This song marked my entry intothe industry as a PROFESSIONAL. A year or so after that, my song "Gone Away" won 2nd in the LAST grand finals of Tanghalan ng Kampeon Likhang awit. As Darius mentioned, he currently happens to know the first place winner. This song marked the "end" of my songwriting at the time, since someone posing as a producer picked up the song and later claimed it as his own, not knowing or remembering that it placed second in said competition. The song was bastardized, was translated into Tagalog awfully that it reminded me just recently of one of Lynman's poorly written songs where lyrics are forced into a melody it wasn't made for. 6. That I've written 3 songs in 20 years. As he is weak in grammar, so he is as well in math. I wrote 20 songs in college. 10 of which I scrapped. The rest, I keep as a memento and would probably put out later to redevelop and rewrite. They're NOT really good songs, as they marked my growth as a songwriter. Also, I stopped writing after my case was resolved, so there's at least a 10 year gap between the last song I wrote when my first child was born (that was 19 July 92), and the next one which I wrote in 2002. Since I restarted writing, not because I really wanted to, but just so I can stay sane from all the buzzing notes in my head, I've written at least 5 songs in the last 5 years. Here they are, in chronological order; Only When it Rains Your Smile Maybe, Someday Don't Fall Between the Lines April's Fool Can't Bring me Home (in progress, story unfolding, lyrics unfinished) Middle Way (current) I'm not a prolific writer, but I do lean towards QUALITY over QUANTITY. It's nice to write 30 songs in a span of two years, but what good is that if they all sound the same. Also, I don't consider parodies as originals. It's like one tracing over an original artwork.
"Between the Lines" is my song, Gramps. And I wasn't speaking of the "soul" as the ethereal thing. The soul has a few more definitions, and one, you can READ like a book. Are you sure you are a writer? Maybe you should read more prose, write more originals, instead of condensing from other stuff. I'll listen to More of His Stuff...so I don't get accused of picking on "One Bad One" & neglecting his Other Offerings. But it's already obvious we're dealing with an Ego that feeds by trying to debase those around it. (Isn't that kinda how Bacteria operate?) ;-)> But that's what you've done. And sorry, Stan, I can't say this objectively enough, and this is NOT superiority complex, but I have actually refrained from commenting on your stuff mainly because of your love affair with Lynman. But, your best CAN NEVER be as good as mine worse.

Brother Darius, I CAN Understand what a "Mixed Metaphor" IS..and THAT's exactly What You GOT on that particular Lyric.
I know my way around a studio...having started back in the Reel-to-reel days. I've got 7 CDs at CDBaby...how many ya up-to now may I ask? My very FIRST one got "5-Stars" from a Muses Muse Critic.. What I deal with are more Lyrics-Driven than what you do...but at least MY stuff makes sense to the Average English Speaking Audience. I'm also more into Humorous Material..which I'd recommend you TRY to tackle...maybe you'd lighten-up a little WHEN you get a sense of humor..Especially about Yourself.
I'll review a few more of your songs...simply because I can..& if you feel insulted..it's because you can Dish It, but you Can't Take It. Nonetheless, heh, you Earned It.

Good Evenin' Brother John!
I, too, hesitated..then I penned that word Down...
I'd been on an Olfactory-Roll..& that line had so-many Nice Sounding "L's" in it..I just kinda left the word in.
It sorta grabbed me..like Jimmy Buffet's using "remora" in the "Fins" Song...like it BELONGED in the List of Goings-On...
I'll continue to Mull It..(I see Kristi's gonna whup me for it, too...Gulp!)
Thanks for your Kind Words & Visit, Amigo...& I'll see how the Nose Parts fare..soon!

Good Evenin' Mz Sunshine!
Boy, I can't get away with A Thing, can I? ;-)> Perhaps a compromise...I kill-off The City & Keep The Nostrils? (Pretty-Please?) ;-)> Maybe it's Just Me, but MY Nose is workin' Overtime when makin' Love...(& I'm married to a gal who could rent-out as a Bloodhound, truth-be-told!)
& C'mon..you GALS use TONS of Perfumes annually...France'd go broke if you-all didn't grab up alla them Samples! ;-)> JUST to get us Guys to flare our nostrils atcha a bit...
Which..of course..we're glad to oblige ya! (&..we, of course, engage in the same Chemical Battle of the Sexes with our Own Cologne, hoping for Similar Intrigue.) Here it's Calvin Klein's "Euphoria" VS Ken Cole's "RSVP" and "Black"...now that we've run outta Chanel #5 and Givenchy "Gentleman".
Memories of Previous Babes roll-in whenever "Shalimar" walks by...heh! (40-some years Later!);-)>
Back when I HAD a Canoe!
Weel,, Thanks for your Kind Words & Gentle Whuppin', and I'll Mull the Items-Mentioned once-again..tho it WAS a lotta fun defending those Nostrils!

Hey Antonio...you almost sound like a Guy I Can LIKE tonight..you're being Honest from what I read here. True, you're defending Your Record & Reputation..but hey, a Real Name..a Real Bio..a Real PERSON..WITH some actual FEELINGS it seemed to show through.
I'm from a Graphics Background too...BA in Fine Art/slugged it out with the Art Dep't (Since I wanted to master Cartooning)..ended up doing a Paper on Honre Daumier (Father of Modern Caricature) and Serigraphy (Silk Screening) for Sr. Project. Then ended up Cartooning 8 Months in Pleiku..during my Nam Tour..& ended up in Europe as an Illustrator for the Army...painted some Clock Dials..& ended up a Clockmaker.
Songs came later..age 35...&..I've yet to master ANY Instrument, tho I own a few nice Guitars (From many a Flea Mkt Visit) and a couplea Synths..& now a few Analogue Mixers..I'll master when I get the time. I've learned to co-write with Musical Folks who already have Studios/Instruments/even Backing Vocals, when needed. Which frees me to concentrate on The Words...
I, too, have a 10-yr-Gap...from not getting a toehold in the Music World back in the '80's...during which I collected Electric Fans..with a Vengeance. In 1999, The Muse Returned & I discovered Internet Collaboration...with Co-'s in US, Spain, France, Jamaica, Canada, Your Country, & now Norway...most all Thanks To JPF.
From what I read in Your Bio, I think you're getting Closer to What's Hoped-For here...that "We're All In This Together" Motto... This is truly a place for IN-Clusion. It's quite O.K. to have some "Differences"..(I, personally, enjoy the Challenge of a Parody..to, like Andy Warhol once DID to a Campbell's Soup Can..to make it "Something Else"..perhaps AS-Interesting..or preferably MORE-Interesting (or at least FUNNIER) than The Original.)
& sure-as-rain, Sometimes a Failure Occurs.
Here..it's almost A Tradition to just let it slide-down-the-page with a "0"....
As for the Namecalling..it's truly Unnecessary. (Fun, too, sometimes..but I'm not Overly-Proud at engaging in it.) Ditto the "Questioning of Professional Ethics/Career-to-date/Hearing Ability/Whatever"...it's really got LITTLE to do With Critiquing a Song..or a Lyric..which is what MOST people expect to read when they come here.
So..I HOPE You & The Doc MIGHT somehow come to an Agreement to cease & desist flinging the Mudballs for a while. Put your Energies into Your Songs..& see what ya come up with.
Best Wishes, Antonio, Big Guy-Hug too, Stan
PS: Since neither of my 2 sons is Married yet, I've Yet to be a "Grampa". I've spent One WEEK of my 63 years penning some Parodies...the rest of my 28-year-output "Output" HAS ALWAYS been "Originals"..just like THIS One, which, alas, you've YET to comment on. (&..heh..feel-free to Post a Better-One from your "worst" here at the Board...& see what folks think.)
Otherwise, you run the risk of what Texas Writers like Gary'd call "All Hat & No Cadillac"...

Stan Sir, I'm ok with any of your comments. I can take the bad ones. The worst, however, is comparing me to your "doc friend" with this phrase - " the guy can sing, but you can too" (your post up there). No. Please don't do that sir. I know my abilities and limitations. Your friend, sadly, does not. Sir, please don't ever mention my singing abilities in the same phrase as your "doc's" singing abilies. THAT is a big insult. Please, I beg you. BTW, has your friend paid you on any of you collabs, including the "published" one? He should have enough moola, having earned seven figures from a jingle he did for a pharmaceutical company. Or is he shortchanging you? Or, maybe, by seven figures, he meant seven of these

Stan,
I honestly didn't want you to get into the middle of this. I also didn't really find it necessary to make myself known here, i believe the songs are enough, but since you are after all working with Lynman, wouldn't it be BEST that we all come clean? I hope this revelation would shed light over my claims.
I've never been anything buy honest and blunt. I've laid down all my cards, I've told you who I am, I've told you where I've been, what I have done, and what little I've accomplished, but I can honestly tell you that I still don't know where I'm going.
You started quite late in the writing bit, much like the doctor. In all honesty, though it doesn't make me a "true" expert in the lack of a better word, my 3 decades of writing has advantage over your 5. I can play musical instruments to a certain degree, enough to know how they work, sound and behave under different conditions.
Also, my engineering background actually allowed me to understand the technical aspects of music; how sound is created, and how it behaves. So, it's safe for me to say that from the get-go, I have a marked advantage over you and doc. As you can see, I've never questioned the veracity of your other claims, but, objectively enough, I also have a marked advantage over you in writing because of exposure both at work and in the field.
Unknown to Lynman, I've also studied music, had acting workshops, have taught in art workshops, had performed live even before he ever know about me or even the now defunct Katha.
But, why is Lynman under the microscope? I've laid down my cards. He has questioned my Professional Status, and under the circumstances, just googling my name will yield the OPM database and whatever work I've done over the years.
I had a little bit of fame, both in college, and in the late nineties when I designed fonts. As I mentioned, I had to hide my real identity under pseudonyms since i've gotten so much junk mail. Aside from that, a few of my typefaces have made it across the web, even to websites I haven't heard of, that I get so many inquiries that I could handle.
Which is really funny, if you think about it. Here, Lynman actually I was hiding my identity because I had something to hide, when, in fact, I'm basically avoiding the attention.
Now, I had to gear myself up, since in my experience, being a musician, a singer or a songwriter can indeed get you noticed, provided you have the right stuff. In college, I had a few good materials that made me "famous" in certain parts of the school, especially after MMS. There wasn't a time of day that I won't get greeted by someone whom I haven't met, be approached and "interviewed" by friends and friends of friends (to my other friends' dismay, especially when we get stalled on the way home). I performed at school functions, and that's when I actually became a professional singer when an instructor hired me to sing at her wedding.
In this age of the internet, it's not so different, but, having a pseudonym helps. I can actually screen out unwanted communications, unlike before. So that's why I'm Matanglawin. That's why I am X.
I never kept my identity from the people I've met, regardless of what I thought of them.
As for Lynman, the question of his expertise remain. If he told me the truth, he's been only at it for two to three years, and he's been acting like an expert, even in Katha. He's done EVERYTHING to be noticed, and have stepped on a few toes along the way. If you will cite anyone for name calling, he's number one, since he's even lambasted a long time multi-hit, award-winning composer just because the guy, who is in fact credible in music, disagrees with lynman's concept of supporting piracy.
And what of his claim of having been paid a "7-figure (not less than 30K)" talent fee for a jingle supposedly picked up by a drug company? We've been asking him a few times, what was the title of the jingle, and who was the drug company stupid enough to pay that much, because we (all here in PhilMusic) are actually interested that maybe we can sucker the company to pay us MORE for better jingles.
Among others, there are the little things he claim; like being an expert in "mastering" when he doesn't even know what a DAW is. When corrected, he referred me to a wiki link that actually CONTRADICTED his claim.
He, among two other people, have registered a company, but that company doesn't have a permanent REAL business address (they meet with other songwriters in restos and coffeeshops) and their website is in a free-hosting site done with TEMPLATES.
So there, Stan. It doesn't really matter if you continue working with Lynman, but it's best you know the TRUE facts.
As for me, it also doesn't really matter if I even earn anything from what I do. I've spent more in a year doing what I do, investing on equipment, that I've earned in 20 over my two songs.
I write because there's something to write. You can review my songs as well, bash it, thrash it, and it wouldn't really affect me anymore since those have gone through MINE microscope before I even let one soul hear a note (which is purely rhetorical). I let people here them to see which ones they like, if they understood it the way I do or as I have intended it, and go from there.
Unlike Lynman, I NEVER think of money, that's why I NEVER am prolific.

Darius, frankly Tiny Tim's sold MORE music that All 4 of us put together. I'm not particularly insulted by it. The Guy found his niche.
What's Your Problem with Other Folks finding Theirs?
Your attacks are becoming like broken records. Same Stuff..Over-&-Over Again...only thing changed is Now we got a Coin insteada a Bill. FYO, I'm not expecting any loot for a year or two from Doc...since..on-average..that's normal for Overseas Royalties to arrive in the US. &..I'm not expecting Major Denario from your nice little Island Chain anyways.
SOME things I actually do for fun.
Your Idea of Fun SEEMS to be bugging the heck out of Doc..& anyone who happens to like the guy. What you're succeeding in doing is building up a backlash against Yourselves.
DID You help Brian in judging ANYTHING for this year's Awards? If NOT, please DON'T bother judging Anything Further on MY Threads. IF you post some LYRICS here, you just MIGHT be welcomed...but your Attacks are frankly getting rather boring & your Novelty is wearing off. So is the Group Patience, I'm willing to believe. There IS a Policy against "Stalkers" here...&..you won't be the First to get banned IF you wish to continue on your current path.
Now, go get your LAST Words IN...so I feel GOOD and Motivated to put together a Letter of Complaint.
Stan

who's attacking whom? Look at the posts above, post #725104 - you mention my name OUT OF CONTEXT of this thread. My reply is #725223. So who drew first? Show me the policy on stalkers, and prove to me that I'm stalking without PROVOCATION. As for judging, again, I know my limits. Again, sadly, you friend does not. Let's leave it at that and I hope you comprehend.

Similarly, Stan, I was also mentioned here, out of context. Please be mindful that I haven't reacted on OTHER threads, specifically the Curmudgeon Parody.
The doc does like using heavy words he can't even pronounce well...

Antonio, WHY you have to have this "Superiority Complex" is beyond me. I don't have the "Engineering Background" you do, BUT on-my-own I mastered Clock Repair..then invented one made from Celebrity Autographs..befriended Mel Blanc..& with his help ALMOST got a Deal from Warner Bros back in the 80's. (It's Chapter 7 in Producer Janet Fisher's nice "Music Horror Stories" Book.) Got beat out by "Weird Al"..(Who, by the way, made HIS Millions BY doing PARODIES.)
I've "gotten around" OK...for a "Non-Musical" Cat. Was in L.A.Songwriters Showcase back in the 80's..had a song held for Gladys Knight/got to know her Producer, Bob Monaco..pretty well..he's still a personal hero. Co-Wrote a song with a #1 R&B Writer on one of my treks out there..(who I think never DID get paid by his label for the Hit.) My co- never got recorded...but it WAS one of the High Points in the '80's..just met the guy at a pay phone booth..& we hit it off. I managed to lose his phone number/those were the pre-internet days, too...not too organized. But I slowly made enough friends thru trips to LA & Nashville..I probably coulda become that Pop Artist I thought I wanted to be.
BUT...I had a THRIVING Clock Biz back in Tampa...AND a less-than-Enthusiastic Wife "Music-Career-Wise." & 2 sons to raise. So..when I didn't get the Artist Deal via Mel that Last Trip Out, my wife said "You know, you've spent over $70K in the Studio...& only made $26 for it all-decade." "You ought to try Something Else." (The $25 was for 5th Place in the American Song Festival for a Fat-Lady's Love Song, "Big Heart"...and the $1 was for 4 Songs a Brit Publisher took over to England with him..all of which I later got back.)
So..around 1989, I went "Cold Turkey" & began collecting Early Electric Fans..for a Decade. Spent $80-100K on what's now the world's Third-Biggest-Collection..all 1500+. WAS to have penned a Fan Collecting Book for Schiffler Publishing. 200 pages of text, 800 color pics. My Cameraman, Steve Puryea, who'd set up the deal, lost his job at Disney & publisher wanted ME to take the pics. (Hadda have both Slides AND Digital of each..it turned out.) SO..I began procrastinating by writing SONGS again...around 1999. & I discovered The Internet..joined many a fledgling Songwriter's Site...&...eventually came here..to stay.
A small inheritance led to spending $25K on a 2 CD deal recorded in Branson, MO, with Western Swing Artist Gene Allen as Producer. This was about 2001..we did the first, in late fall. Branson's VERY COLD but Sidemen are quite reasonable in Off-Season/ditto Studios. I got sick as a dog...but we did manage to finish it up..tho a second trip out was necessary. About a year later, did a Christmas CD--which still lacks the Gal Backing Vox--but I chalked it up to Experience. & made some serious friends in various Bands out there..& got a friendship started with Jim Stafford, thru Gene.
I've recorded 5 other CDs locally in Tampa..with the help of an FM DJ, Bill Dudley, whom I've known since our days together back in Jr High..in Ohio. He's sort of a One Man Band/Studio Whiz Kid..with an ear for "Retro"...but can do Many a Genre..so we do.
The Recession here has resulted in my not recording anything new in the last 2 years. But..I've been blessed with MANY a Collaborator that's taken on the job of Recording..so I'm still pretty-actively creating Songs..just not for Me To Sing..lately. 2 got picked up for Joe Wrabek's "Failed Economy Concert" in Oregon..think they get performed June 1st...& a Soundtrack CD's in the making. Another's on Culver City Indie Artist Chuck Crowe's well-reviewed CD, "Another Forevermore". 3 more got picked up for Movie Duty by JPF's Midnight Bob. & Ol'Producer Gene's getting "It's OK to Cry" recorded soon by Jamie Asselin...a co-write with Andy Karpinski..a Tampa Indie Producer I met thru JPF Tampa. Jamie's the daughter of a Branson Major-Domo..so hopefully she'll take it onto the Charts someday over the next year &...Voila.."The Hit"..Validation..& heh..that hard to grab "Check In The Mail." (With which I take Skeptical Wife on a Vacation).
I don't ALWAYS think of money..BUT there's always Somewhere I'd Like to be Visiting..which Does require more than I currently have on-hand. AND..my Day Job no longer is in the Best of Shape..So..heh...I'm somewhat INSPIRED to always Pen That Next One..& Soon! In closing this too-lengthy bio, I'll mention I've also LISTENED to 20 more years of MUSIC than You Have..which I'd say gives Me an Edge. BUT..I'm not out to be "Superior" to any creator of Music. I merely enjoy creating what I like to hear/hope someone Else enjoys it too.
OK..sorry to hear 'bout all The Politics of Music in Your Corner of the World...HOPE ya'll can Somehow "All Be In This Together." It's Do-able...just takes some Kindness on Both Parts.
Best Wishes, Stan

Stan,
I can't see why you're so defensive. Let me just reiterate that I am still talking mainly about Lynman and HIS qualifications and expertise. NOT yours.
My engineering background is in no way any similar to your clock working career. So, this is NOT superiority complex, but, like the doc's insistence on dropping his medical background in an issue pertaining to music, doing clocks has NOTHING to do with music, except if you consider the TIME, both in linear and angular.
But engineering DOES. We studied sound and harmonics and waveforms, and how they actually LOOK like.
I'm pretty sure you can understand the technical aspects of mastering, but the doc DOES NOT, as was attested by several claims of his in the past. What I don't understand is why you think he is an expert, when he has been exposed time and again HERE in the Philippines as a fraud and as one who supports piracy.
Right now, I'm more than willing to bet hes basically preparing his excuse as to why he shouldn't bother posting the information being asked of him; that 7-figure jingle, and the sucker who bought it from him.
Fair is fair, right? I've revealed my identity if only to prove the veracity of my claims and disprove Lynman's previous notions. It's HIS turn to reveal himself.
Also, again, if we weren't mentioned here in context, we wouldn't be posting here.
FYI, I NEVER liked Weird Al. Sure, he made songs funny, but I can NEVER respect him fully for doing so. One song of note though is his very graphic, "You don't love me anymore." I like it very much, because it's NOT a parody.
Anyways, that's your banana, and if you want to keep the illusion that Lynman is good, who are we to tell you otherwise.

Stan Heres what I promised to you. Got a lengthy discussion there. If I were you concentrate in writing lyrics than waste you energy to these loser. Heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sh7gWv-JR18Hey M you told us you are an engineer. What kind of engineer? I told you to pass the licensure examinations first in our professional regulations commission before you want to be called engineer. Anybody can be called engineer here, even computer programmers are also called engineer. I have a student who is a civil engineer and she is talking up nursing but have no sligthest idea in the electrophysiology of the heart. I told her to go back and remember what is all about the principle in her engineering days. So you also study sound waves, interesting. Being a doctor we study audio too. In fact we can diagnosed people like you with deaf ears. I will give you a friendly suggestion if I violate laws here like accussing me of piracy and not distibuting royalties you can go to the proffessional regulations commisions and file your case if i found guilty they can strip my physician license just to please you. Hey M you told us you are an engineer. What kind of engineer? I told you to pass the licensure examinations first in our professional regulations commission before you want to be called engineer.
Hey doc! DO YOU EVER READ? Can you COMPREHEND? AT ALL? I said I STUDIED Electrical Engineering at Mapua. You do know where that is, don't you? And I've told you I NEVER finished it, shy of graduation. Hence I just have an ENGINEERING BACKGROUND. I dare you to quote me where I claimed to be an Engineer. Do you want me to repeat that, or is that too much for your simplex brain to process? No, I don't want to be called an engineer, but by golly, man, there's a reason why it is called SOUND ENGINEERING. We had subjects regarding that. And please, don't tell me it doesn't qualify because "I have no degree." I am more qualified than you'll EVER be with regards to music, because aside from engineering, I actually HAD music courses. Your constant dropping of medical terms HAS NO BEARING IN MUSIC. Anybody can be called engineer here, even computer programmers are also called engineer. I have a student who is a civil engineer and she is talking up nursing but have no sligthest idea in the electrophysiology of the heart. I told her to go back and remember what is all about the principle in her engineering days.
Like I said, I can spell out electrocardiogram, know what it is, and how it is done, but IT DOESN'T have any bearing in music. STOP pretending like you know anything by mixing one with another... So you also study sound waves, interesting. Being a doctor we study audio too. In fact we can diagnosed people like you with deaf ears. Yes, I studied sound waves and WAVES in general, but not the way you do. You may not be deaf, but I'm pretty sure you claim to have a better voice than either me or Darius. Please, Lynman. Even April Boy Regino sounds better than you, and he actually had hits that made him rich. And no, I'm not deaf, else, I would not have heard you say twice that you were paid by a so and so drug company, nor will I have heard DISTINCTLY that you use the same chords and same melodies in not less that TWO songs you made me listen to. And please, since you're obviously IGNORANT, even Beethoven was totally deaf when he made his most beautiful symphony. I will give you a friendly suggestion if I violate laws here like accussing me of piracy and not distibuting royalties you can go to the proffessional regulations commisions and file your case if i found guilty they can strip my physician license just to please you.
I'm NOT accusing you. YOU ARE guilty of piracy. You HAVE mentioned that to me when we first met. Remember that I told you, I DON'T SUPPORT piracy. Are you denying having said that? And, the PRC has no jurisdiction over music matters, you ignorant fool. Please refrain from mentioning it, since I am NOT after your so-called medical license. Please, Lynman. Stop lying. I've revealed my information (at great personal risk of getting spam and junk mail) relative to your misconceptions and claims about my "personality," but you've conveniently avoided that because I've laid it SMACK on your face. Where's the 7-figure Jingle, and the company who supposedly licensed it from you? You've been evading this since ee're pretty sure this is a BOGUS claim. At least one local industry hitmaker have scoffed at this (Remember Kedy Sanchez?), among a few other TRUE professional musicians and songwriters. I'm in ADVERTISING, so I am familiar with the going rates of services and talent fees, so PLEASE don't even try to blind us with your stupidity. We're NOT ignorant like you are. Tell you what, reveal the Jingle title, date it was published, if ever, The drug company who paid you big bucks. knowing you, seeing that you celebrate even the most diminutive of "accomplishments" like 1000 posts, I'm pretty sure you have a contract and a voucher. Aside from that, you can tell us how much you've earned through CD sales.
Once we verify it, Darius and I WILL SHUT UP, and maybe even LEAVE this forum.
What say you?Anyways, I'm pretty sure Darius and I will be staying for a while...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symphony_No._9_(Beethoven) I agree. This is what I actually mean by "seeing" music. Beethoven can see the notes, and hear the music in his heart, much like how artists visualize things when they close their eyes...

Gents..here's a BIG Opportunity for All OF YAS to One-Up each other (Maybe) AND help out JPF:
The MP3 & Lyrics Mentors' Feedback Forum's just shy THREE more Entries...OR Brian's considering "Mothballing It".
So..with all your Credentials...shouldn't be hard at all to post a Good Lyric there..for a Pro Critique IF it's Worthy of one.
(And ANYBODY ELSE wasting their Time readin' this thread...You're ALL Invited to join in Over THERE!)
THERE..ya might learn Something NEW and Of USE to Your Career.
Best Wishes/Peace on Earth/Good Will towards Men/Over & Out, Stan
I'll edit this so Antonio can get the mandatory Last-Word-in. I don't particularly CARE if Doc got 6 Figures for a Jingle or NOT. It's perfectly LEGAL to brag a bit...even Exaggerate on-occasion. It's NOT perfectly legal to Harrass Someone..for wbat seems Endlessly, in hopes of costing them their Reputation and Business. this'll obviously boil down to Who's Got The Best Lawyers, but I hope you two can afford some. What's been going on here is pretty good "Exhibit A" material.

Thanks, Stan, but you might instead want to advice your friend the doc to REVEAL his 7-figure claim. We've been asking that for the longest, and he's been evading it.
It's high time HE lays down his cards. If he had any to begin with...

Sorry Stan but this has to come out so this can be settled once and for all since it was Lyman that made claim of it.The reason must be he is lying or why else wouldn't he show it unless it's a LIE? Just like obama can't show birth certificate because he don't have a legal one, come on Lynman show it or you're lying, then all of this will go away or you'll be proven a liar and never trusted ever

I was once Miss WV.I'm not gonna prove it to you.It doesnt make me a liar.I just dont feel it necessary to prove myself to anyone.I dont have to.This is childish and though I completely agree with you about Obama(because he put himself in a position where there is certain criteria to be met before assuming that position),this is totally unrelated.Lynman is dealing with a few people that have stated that they dont like him.Its not like they are friends and want to share in the joy over his accomplishments. It can be settled once and for all by acting like professional, grown men,and dropping this and moving on with your lives, and this mans financial records are his personal business. If someone asked to see my personal financial records ,I would want to tell them to kiss where the sun dont shine, but I want to be a GOOD example for Christ and encourage EVERYONE here to do the right thing, and get on with making beautiful music, since that should be our reason for being here in the first place.Life is too short to worry about things like this. Its just so unimportant in the grand scheme of thingsDo your part to make the world a better place.Everyone has faults.Focus on the positives.Build each other up,not tear down. That person whose face you are spitting in may one day be the person who saves the life of you or someone that you love.Take the emotions that you are feeling and turn them into great songs. There is a purpose for everything, and a purpose for everyone who crosses our path in this life.We dont know that purpose ,but God does.God says to love one another, and I realize that is hard to do and sometimes seems downright impossible, but you definitely dont have to go to the extreme of hating.....anyway...I'm done here, and all of you should be as well...but I am sure that mine wont be the final word in this matter,I know of a few who will make sure of that, but what I have said is true...I cant prove it,but I'd swear to it,and those who know me and love me will take me at my word, and those who dont chose to believe it....oh well,I dont feel it necessary to prove it.

if you claim to be Miss WV, and you look like Megan Fox or Katherine Heigl, then we don't need to validate. Because you have the CREDIBILITY.
If you claim to have earned seven figures from ONE JINGLE, bragged about it, BUT DON'T HAVE THE CREDIBILITY because you have zip credentials, then we need proof.
There's a difference.
And if you wash you hands about piracy... what did the Antares guys say again about Autotune? In the email they sent in January 2008?

Hey Stanerooski, Looks like I stepped square into a hornet's nest here -- and fresh out of my orthopedic boot! Anyway, I'll let those parties involved do what they need to do, and I'll just sneak in comment or two on your lyric. First of all, I have to say, as much as I love all your timely songs, I find myself enjoying your "romantic" ones even more. Especially because (given the source !), they represent the possibility and joy of a real and mature love. One that might have started out on a strictly hormonal level...but then grew to encompass less fleeting sensations. I loved this line in particular: That Soft-Touchin' My Shoulderblade with Your Fingertips ....... very erotic! I did have a couple of questions... TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT We Drive Up To The Lake & Watch the Moon Glistening Off the Waves .....do lakes have waves?? Then: (TAG) City Life was Boring, (Somehow WE Escaped!)...what does this have to do with the rest of the song? With that last question in mind, I might want to swing back here and do a little tweakin/snippin, if that's okay with you (not in the "snippety snip" sort of way, don't worry). In the meantime, thanks for keeping romance alive... And a belated Happy Birthday to La Femme (as a fellow Gemini, I know you've got your hands full with her ! ) !!! Cheers, Jackie

HiDee Mz O!~
Yeah, it IS fun to JUST deal with a Lyric Critique again, especially from a Good Friend.
Glad ya liked that Shoulderblade Line...I pruned a filler word ("&"..I think?) then needed a Syl, after-all..so it'd sing-right..& the "Shoulder" became "Shoulderblade"... The more I reflected on that Line, the more I became aware that that's WHERE Several of my Ancient Amours announced Their Good Intentions..with that First Ice-Breaking "Touch"..in a fairly-safe Anatomical Area. (And I'd done the same!) ;-)>
I grew up in Ohio...where Lake Erie's considered a Lake/yep..LOTS of Waves/Lots of Storms. Even smaller lakes up there had waves..it was always Raining/Windy-enough. A Buddy had a cottage about 1 hr. South of where I grew up/we'd park beside that lake...Lake Chippewa..after a successful Double Date..at the small Amusement Park there..& yep, the Gals always Loved The Evening View..sometimes from IN the Lake..in his Ski Boat.
Think the Tag evolved..from them Escaping The Boring City....to the Truncated Version now-there. 'Tain't cast-in-Stone...feel free to Sug-Away, Kind Lady!
A Belated "Happy Birthday" to ya! I got La Femme a new Digital Camera for her B'day..at Sears 2 days ago...to replace the one she had that I dropped last week..Gulp! (Neither of us have yet figured out how to work it...2 days later. But..the 50-60 page Manual should be Real-Easy to figure out..Right? ;-)>
Waal..off to Couch Potato in front of the TV that Won't GET Much after..think it's June 12. Big Quandry: Should we get Cable...or say Screw It & just pen a few more Songs insteada watchin' The Idiot Box?
Many Thanks for Your Kind (Well-Timed) Visite, M'LadyChum! (It was beginnin' to feel like the Taliban was takin' over the Bandwidth.)
Best Wishes & a Big Weekend Hug, Ol' Stan

Hi Stan.... I'll come back later, as promised. Wanna work on that tag some. Also, I wanted to correct you on my b'day date (sorry I was not more explicit -- LOL!). The real day is June 8th....which I share with (GET THIS) these three: Barbara Bush, Kanye West, and Joan Rivers! I like to think I share certain traits with all three! Anyway, ciao for now, and glad if I was able lighten up the thread a bit (refer back to Joan Rivers....). Wearing Barb's trademark pearls on Soundclick, Jackie P.S. As for Kanye... um....how about that I grew up in WEST Newton?
