The Kind Of Woman That Loves This Kind Of Man ©2008 Shayne Vaughan
I lie in bed some mornings when she's been up a while No matter how upset she gets she'll always force a smile I tend to do a lot of things that she don't understand But she's The Kind Of Woman That Loves This Kind Of Man
She'll tell me that my necktie don't match my favorite shirt She helps me find my car keys when I'm running late for work I'm thankful that I bought her that gold ring on her left hand 'Cause she's The Kind Of Woman That Loves This Kind Of Man
Bridge: I've got a lot of faults, but I ain't found hers yet She seems perfect in every way I just pray that she don't wake up someday to regret She said "I do" on our wedding day
She's standing at the front door when I pull in our drive She'll hold me tight and kiss me and it brings me back alive She makes my life much greater than I could have ever planned 'Cause she's The Kind Of Woman That Loves This Kind Of Man
Tag: Yeah, she's The Kind Of Woman That Loves This Kind Of Man

Hi Shayne,i think its a cool litle tune. My suggestion would be to flesh out a little more on the (GUY) with his faults etc. So people will really wonder why this woman loves this guy after all his faults .Of course ya cant paint him too bad or no one could love him ha!(smile). Diggin the way you have this woman lovin this guy you said a lot about her in a few lines and thats a good thing to do nice work.Thats all i can add, Dee Meese, Stu-Olli-Music Ascap

Hi Shayne. This one flows and bounces along very nicely. I got a rhythm from it right from the start, no meter bumps at all.
While I think details are needed sometimes to help us appreciate, or understand, a character a little better, in this song I think it works fine just like it is. It's a simple declaration of love that, to me anyway, doesn't need much more than what you've provided.
I love this line:
I'VE GOT A LOT OF FAULTS, BUT I AIN'T FOUND HERS YET
This is really nice. Does it have music yet?

Very Meisterly Brother Shane!
It all works for me except the "lay" verb...when "lie" is the correct word. ("Ain't" & "Don't" never bother me...in a country song... but for some reason "lay" bugs the heck outta me.)
But, laying that "Vent" aside, "KUDOS" for a nice song of Devotion. I'm fond of The Singer (In spite of his Dialect) and his Mz.
Good Luck with The Finished Product, Amigo...(I especially-identified with the Car Keys...heh!)
Big Guy-Hug, Season's Best to ya, Stan

Thanks Stan. I usually don't get the lie/lay thing confused, but I wrote this very late one night...so that's the only excuse I can think of.. LOL
Made the change.
