Hey Folks, As you might recall, earlier this fall, KSPAZ radio out of California contacted JPF for some "comic" musicians. They were looking for programming for a new internet radio podcast being launched in October. Tom Yeager followed up on the solicitation, and as it seemed like the real deal, he submitted some songs, and they were accepted! He in turn encouraged me to do the same, and lo and behold, they wanted some of mine too! That process is discussed in greater depth on this thread: http://www.jpfolks.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/648799/page/1#Post648799I'm not sure if anyone else from JPF pursued it. Anyway, TODAY October 3, is the launch of the program! YIPPEE!! Following is the link to the home page. http://kspazradio.com/index.htmlJust click the "ON-AIR" Button, and you're good to go! For the time being, songs will be running ROS, so it's unclear how much notice -- if any -- we'll be given about when our songs will be airing. And even though it's a fairly small market, I think it's pretty cool. The station even describes itself as follows: A Non profit designed to promote better health through comedy, music and " Would you believe inspiring music " (what a nice place to be, huh? ) Right now, I have it on...just heard some neat African music, now some New Age stuff. OOOOH, I'm on pins and needles! ALSO, FYI, they'll be on 24/5 (not on air Mon. & Tues.) So, just wanted to share this exciting news with you. I'm sure I speak for Tom too when I tell you we won't forget all of you little (hee hee hee) people!! (Especially if you toss me a Halloween song for Brian's 100 song Challenge -- this is what you call MULTI-TASKING!) If you get a chance, go check it out. Thanks for your support!! Cheers, Beth

I gotta hang out with you more often, Tom ! "a great comedy writer", huh? Now THAT'S funny! Actually, I take that as a terrific compliment. Even though it's much harder for me personally to write the serious pieces, "they" say comedy overall is harder to do well (but that likely includes all forms of art -- acting, etc.), so that must be a good thing! Thanks, too, for the info about the start-up glitches he's likely having...Sorta like parents with their first newborn! So ciao for now.... Me P.S. I was sort of disappointed we weren't invited to some ceremonial smashing of the champagne bottle against, well, I dunno, the side of his office or something, today, to commemorate the launch of the program. I even had my Ginger Grant outfit all picked out !! Ahoy....

oh yes and quite a shindig i am sure it would be
as internet radio stations are known for extravagant launches...no doubt he would unscrew some wine and let us sniff the cap before pouring.......save the sexy gown for your Comedy Channel award..
