Hello All -

On the road again . . . I've got several shows coming up in October here at home before I head out to Tennessee for the SE Regional Folk Alliance Conference. Here's what's on tap for next month:

First, I'm headed back to the Bay area! I’ll be featured in the Florida Folk Night on Thursday, October 2nd at Ka’Tiki in Treasure Island. As ya'll know, this is one of the finest long standing acoustic music events in the State. Hosted by Pete Gallagher, of WMNF Radio, and Pat Barmore, Florida Folk Night showcases the best of native Florida music under the big chickee as the sun sets into the Gulf across the street. It’s my great privilege to return to Ka’Tiki and I hope to see you there!

Hosted By: Pete Galagher & Pat Barmore
When: Thursday Oct 02, 2008 at 7:00 PM
Where: Ka’Tiki
8801 West Gulf Blvd.
Treasure Island, Florida 33706

Next, I head up to Lecanto on Friday night, October 3rd to headline at The Woodview Coffee House opening their 5th season of outstanding music. This is another of those "plum" venues for us Florida folkies and I'm really looking forward to sharing my songs on that stage. Woodview Coffee House is located at 2628 Woodview Lane, Lecanto, just off County Road 491 near Beverly Hills. The music is presented in the Fellowship Hall of Unity Church of Citrus County. The doors open at 6:30 and there is a $5 per person donation requested. There will be an open mic preceding the main event - ME! For more information or directions call Jim Davis at 352-726-9814 or email at Woodview@tampabay.rr.com. This is a terrific venue and I hope to see you there!

Then Saturday, October 4th I'm in Winter Garden for the Winter Garden Music Fest 2008. I'll be on the Lakeview Stage at 4:30 pm. This all takes place in historic downtown Winter Garden and there's quite a line up of music for Friday through Sunday. For complete information, directions, etc. go to http://www.wintergardenmusicfest.com.

The following weekend I'm at the Lake County Folk Festival, October 11th and 12th in beautiful downtown Eustis. No schedule has been published as yet, but Jeff Friberg and the other faithful organizers say that one will be posted next week. Keep you eye on http://www.lakecountyfolkfest.com.

Then I'm off to SERFA in Murphreesboro, TN where I'll be showcasing for folk music presenters (venues, house concert hosts and folk radio) from the SE US and beyond. The conference runs from Friday October 17th to Sunday the 19th. On Sunday I've been selected to appear in a "Fast Pitch Showcase" before the entire gathering of industry pro's assembled -- wish me luck.

And as they say, THAT'S ALL FOLKS!! For October anyway. Hope to see your smiling faces in the crowds in the coming weeks.

All the Best -
