Hey Cher, It's me again. Thought I'd let you know I still check your posts daily. Haven't found the right venue for me but it's good information. I'll be in Omaha again on the 15th for a day but then I'm on to The Johnson County Fair In Tecumseh, NE. the 16th. Then for 2 weeks I'll be passing through regular on my way to somewhere. Anybody that likes Traditional Country Music might want to attend a festival in Avoca, Iowa. (36 miles from Council Bluffs on I-80 East) It's mainly a musician festival with Bluegrass, Country and Gospel. 5 stages and a huge amount of musicians! (I say it's a musician festival because I get so busy I forget there are normal people there.) Oh, the Festival is August 20-24th. Lots of fun and jammin' as much as you can stand. We were up until 7am last year. O.K I thought I'd check in. I can see where you would begin to think your writing to yourself on this forum. But we're paying attention. Had a great time at Avoca. Record attendance and nice weather for a change! Just got back from 16 days on the road Sunday. Had a great time but I am wiped out. Strange thing though, tonight I had an idea for a melody and ended up playing my guitar for 3 hours. Next Country event is in Fremont, NE. October 2nd,3rd & 4th. Lots and lots of musicians and a special appearance by John McEuen of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I've been invited to be a part of that show. Pretty exciting stuff for this old road dog.
