Hi Gang,
I have a variety of music styles so I need a variety of vocalist for demo work. Since it is long distance we would work with wav files. I wanted to post each project up one or two at a time and give a brief description of the styles that I need. If you could point me to an mp3 or site where I can hear you I'll check it out there. I will reply back to you if your sound is what is needed for the song. You will be paid and as always when I send out CD's I mention the vocalist name on the disc. I recently have songs in a movie and had the vocalists names included in the movie credits. Performed by/ Vocals by etc.. Besides the films I am shopping to a Major Record Label where again I will include the vocalist name. I always do this in case they pass on the song they might be interested in the vocalist. And that is good for both of us. No nonsense here totally pro and I just wanted to give you as much info up front as possible. Again you would need to be able to track vocals and email or mail wave files.
Thanks a bunch Sub

Hi Sub, I've done several internet collaborations... you can listen to my stuff at http://www.soundclick.com/vikkiflawith. Just an update - I've been doing a lot of internet collaborations in the past few months. Recent, Lead vocals:"I Could Dream" (by Dean Taylor & Lucian Blaga) - the demo just got forwarded to a publisher; comments: "really great job", "I've never heard such a beautiful voice, a very unique sound". "In that Moment" (by Errol Chugg) - currently being mixed; comments: "great job", "one of the features of Vikki's delivery is her vocal dynamics". Recent, Back-up Vocals:"Time" (by Noel Downs) - "Vikki - the harmony stuff you did still raises my neck hairs. Wow!" "I May Have Started It" (Cliff Hitchcock) - "I wanted to let you know that your harmony vocals were P-E-R-F-E-C-T. I can't imagine anyone who could have done em any better." "A Better Place" (Bruce Pruiett) - "Your track is absolutely stunning. Thank you so much for doing this. You have an amazing voice, and a very creative way of approaching harmony." - For lead: you provide a backing track with a scratch vocal or a instrumental melody for reference; plus the backing track only. I record a sample mp3. If you like, I upload an .ape for you (has the same quality as wav but is half the size). I'm happy to sign a work for hire (or trade tracks). - For back-up vocals - you supply backing track with final vocal track on it, I provide a sample mp3, once approved, I upload the .ape files for you. My harmonies can be 1 to 4 tracks. Ditto on the work for hire. Let me know if you'd like more info, cheers Hummin'bird ------------------ Vikki Flawith, Canadian Singer/Songwriter & Voice Teacher This bird sings at: http://www.soundclick.com/vikkiflawith http://www.mixposure.com/freya Free resources for singers: http://www.theshysinger.com & http://www.soundclick.com/theshysinger Blog: http://theshysinger-songwriter.blogspot.com/ [This message has been edited by Hummingbird (edited 04-20-2006).]

Sub,
You have no contact info listed on this site (I'm sure by design). If you would like, shoot me an email at erik@eriktyler.com. We talked a little about the types of songs I could help you with. Let's talk more.

Hi Vikki,Damien & Fred
Thanks for repyling I enjoyed listening to your material. You were all terrific. Most of the stuff I'm doing right now didn't really fit with the styles you guys mainly do. Not to say some other songs won't come up that do fit better. So I'm keeping all your links so I can look you up again.
Thanks for responding Peace Sub
Erik- I'll shoot you that email, thanks man.

Hi- I'm a jazz-influenced singer of popular music who has lately moved toward pure jazz and jazz inprovisation. I've sung country, folk, etc. but feel my style has emerged within the jazz genre. My name is Carol Nicodemi and I sing primarily, but not exclusively with Edmond Nicodemi, husband/guitarist/composer/pianist. Our webpage is www.cdbaby.com/cd/nicodemi3. Feel free to hear my voice and see if it is what you are looking for. I live in NYC. Thanks. Carol

Sub,
I do demo quality vocals for songwriters/producers. Basically how it works is you send me the track, lyrics and a track with the melody. I have a home studio where I will record the vocals. Once I'm done recording I will send you the clean (no reverb) vocal (wav. file) seperate from the track so you can put as much or as little reverb and mix it as you wish. I do have some clients that want me to add the reverb which is also no problem.
I can sing Country, Pop, R&B, Christian, Gospel, Techno, Classical, etc. I charge $50/song. I'm e-mailing you a sample of my work that I did for a Christian songwriter. If you are still interested I would love to help you out. Thanks, Tiffany
PS. If anyone else is interested in this service please e-mail me at tmcasto@sbcglobal.net

Hi Mike, I'm not sure of the technical aspect of sharing sound files, if you're interested after hearing samples, we can explore the possibilities. Samples of my wife Kim and me can be heard at the following links: http://cdbaby.com/cd/vasil2http://cdbaby.com/cd/vasil3

Hi Guys I was surprised to see this thread up, I didn't even notice Okay I have a rock song that needs a perfect match for vocal. If you go to the Music Video Boards you will see I have an instructional video series about the process of making a song. If you go to PART 1 I sing a verse and chorus of the song I need the vocalsist for. I prefer male vocals the younger and hipper sounding the better. But female vocal is not out of the question if it fits. Thanks

Mike,
Think I replied to one of your other posts. I cut vocals for people all the time. I use a Lawson LMP47 through a Fearn pre and a Trakker compressor. It's a great signal chain. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks.

www.myspace.com/mattyboybIf you still need people, I'm willing to give it a shot. I do a lot of different stuff, so even if none of the songs on there are the sound you want, I'll record anything. I don't mind if it doesn't get used; I'm just looking for some stuff to sing right now. Thanks! -Matt

I can't sing, but when you find (or if you already have) some great sounding country male and females, let me know. I've got a bunch of songs that need to be done, and I'd prefer not to have to sing them myself. I will if I have to, but the world is a better place when I don't.
