Hi Folks,
So here I am back in my office in Indianapolis. I forgot how large my desktop monitor, desk and house were! = )
We have lots of follow up to share and of course some cool pictures (we ended up taking over 15,000 photos!!!!). I am not sure how many hours of video we took but I think it ended up around 30 hours give or take a couple. I drove almost exactly 5000 miles (that's a little over 8000 kilometers for our metric friends) and our trip came in almost exactly on budget, though our last minute family gifts might have tipped us over the top a bit. We visited Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Vatican, Monaco and France. We missed Switzerland and the Netherlands but hope to catch both next time around (and we did meet folks from both those countries elsewhere). We didn't have any JPF showcases but we did meet a lot of folks and we also gained some great new members and contacts. Most of all we learned a lot which will help us better expand JPF both Internationally as well as Artistically (i.e. we're really more interested in than ever in bringing more artists and photographers and writers into the fray to mix it up with our musicians and songwriters. We also are ready to start planning the next International trip and the next batch of North American Roadtrips as well as the 2008/2009 JPF Music Awards.
Tommorow night I will start working on some photos and also on writing a recap of the trip. I also need to get a newsletter out ASAP.
For now, I will just bask in the joys of sleeping in my own bed in my own house in my own town in my own country for now. Amazing I woke up this morning in Paris and here I am typing this before heading off to bed in Indianapolis. We all live in a great era in human history!

Absolutely AWESOME!! I'm glad that I could contribute in a small way kicking this whole monstrosity off in little ol' Cincinnati! {What a long strange trip it's been!} NOW GET SOME REST!

Bob,
Yup.. you guys kicked it all off.. it's hard to believe I've been in the road since May. Actually.. it may not be completely over.. I may be going out to LA for a week in December and of course there's the Mid South Roadtrip to TX, LA, MS, TN, OK, AR and MO that we've been kicking around for early next year. But right now I am actually enjoying just hanging here in my office for a little decompression!

Welcome back, Brian. I followed your adventures with interest, although I'm sorry you apparently did not find much local music. Glad you are back home safe and sound.
