Tammy, You were beautiful on so many levels! It was great to get to see you perform on tape.

Well thanks you guys... full of embarrassment here. I am not much of a video type person. It took everything in me to do that. I am more of a sit and write at home kind of gal. Looks like Ande has exposed me wether I like it or not. lol Tammy www.tammyedwards.comwww.myspace.com/tammyedwards1

Tammy I loved it especially because you are the "songwriter" like you said more sit at home and write... I'm like that as well except I love the spotlight because I got used to it mainly because of performing at such a young age all the time... I love seeing songwriters perform there songs... Now I'm stuck here and can't perform... I have to figure out another way to take advantage of my own misfortunes I have been bombing the Video boards with videos, not shy at all lol.... C'mon make another one Tammy!

ok Mike! hehe maybe I will try.. I did make a video of me saying that I bombed at a homemade attempt at a video the other night. LOL it was just me laughing at the camera saying it was BAD! I didn't realize how hard it is to perform to a camera. UGH! I felt like it was so fake. I hated seeing myself!! I thought I sounded stupid. When I watch others it never seems that way. Just myself. I will let you know if I have success. I enjoyed yours!! Great job! Tammy www.tammyedwards.comwww.myspace.com/tammyedwards1

Hi Tammy I enjoyed watching that very much. It's cool to see someone in the flesh that you know from the boards. The song is nicely crafted and well written. Don't feel funny about sharing it, after all, isn't sharing what the whole music thing is all about? Otherwise, how could we "all be in this together?"

Tammy, you're even more beautiful in the video than in your picture up there. I've been waiting for this one to show up somewhere--glad to finally see it!
This is a lovely song too. I loved the musical hooks with the piano and the lyrics were oooh so romantic. Your voice is gorgeous.
I understand what you mean about "This took all I had," and I sure haven't had any guts to record or post any video at all, myself... and going to a Showcase and performing my song (piano only--I had laryngitis)... I felt EXACTLY the same way... a bit intimitading with camera flashes going off and knowing the camera was rolling. But it was a neat moment for me, and I'm postive this was for you, too.
Thank you SO MUCH for posting it!!
What I love best about watching JPF member videos is seeing you moving and talking in real space and time, and getting a better feel for your personalities.
Linda

Tammy, once you untie those nerve strings to make them looser for ya, you will sour in your songs and surprise yourself. People want to see and hear people with talent,,,,so really give it to them! People without talent do, and some don't care at all, and they somehow get work,,,so imagine you, with tons of talent, letting go and saying, "here I am, and here it is folks"! That's when you will be like at home,,,,having any place BE your home in your mind. Think of the people being in your home when playing out. They are there for you to make THEM feel comfortable. That will take the pressure off of you to be comfortable, but will occur naturally, as you are concerned with them getting a let loose, free of anxiety performance. When that happens, you are going to burst with pure joy, only before felt by playing your music at home, or recording it. It's only a thought away, then next time you play out. It's that simple! Make THEM be comfortable. They WANT to see you bust out and let it all go. Forget the way you might look. Forget the way you are fully expressing yourself. Picture Joe Cocker! People loved him!
To sing as good as you did, being as nervous as you were,(and play too!),,,,you're already better than you think. Now REALLY let it go.
Practice letting go at home and picture people right there. Then get some people over and do the same thing, over and over. Then do the same thing out at any place. If you were even slightly bad, I wouldn't be telling you all this. You have nothing to worry about. KNOW that,,,and then just do it! MAKE it great! The listeners out there want that, and will respond to you even more. Picture that!
Congrats as it is! John

Tammy! I'm so proud of you for doing this video. This is a WONDERFUL song. I agree with everything John said, and I know perhaps it is hard for you to play out, but please try these things. You work so hard on your co-writing, I would be great if you could enjoy gigs. (Perhaps somebody with a camera could semi-secretly record you.)
Jeff

Ha! That would freak me out!! That is probably the only way to get it done. I wish I would have spent the time playing out as much as I sit and write at home. I feel so far behind when it comes to that. Brian has continued to tell me to do that, but there really aren't many places in Iowa to do that. I am well known at the Senior Center! LOL!!
