http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=431939Annabelle Annabelle, Annabelle I've wondered if you could tell that I've watched you from afar were you too wild or too young, my love's been a song unsung by the moon to the morning star Annabelle, Annabelle our fates are half-buried shells on the sandy shores of time my dear, let daisy chains be, the ties that bind you and me before the mission bells chime well, I've looked on, as far as I can see somehow tomorrow's gone, from where it used to be but you'll always be the dawn, Annabelle to me Annabelle, Annabelle your heart's the deepest wishing well where I've tossed my life to chance so won't you take my hand, let selfish time have its sand just give me this golden dance for Annabelle, Annabelle I wondered if you could tell that I loved you for so long when you took my hand in yours, you wrestled time from distant shores and returned it to the dawn well, I've looked on, as far as I can see somehow tomorrow's gone, from where it used to be but you'll always be the dawn, Annabelle to me (c)2001 Gary Usinger/Robert George

Rob...this is very very lovely...I love so much of the melody phrases..and lyrics too....
One thing...take a listen..to the flow of the last 3 lines.. of the 2nd stanza..... and compare...to the lovely flow..of the corresponding lines... in the 2nd? or..4th verse..(not sure how you're calling them)....To me..the ties bind..daisy chain ..mission bell lines?..don't flow as well as the corresponding lines to my ears ..anyways.(with the music in that spot)
best to you with hugs, kk

didn't know it had been demoed already- I don't think I saw the link before. Will check it out on another workstation with a sound card.

This is probably my favorite song I have heard on this forum. Absolutely wonderful and touching.

This is very pretty Robert. It almost sounds like something Dan Fogelberg would sing:)

Hey Rob....congrats on the contract.. They saw through the more simple arrangement.....Encouraging!! and Sam.., that was incredibly sweet..you brought tears to my eyes when I read that yesterday...thank you for thinking that... Couch & I have collaborated...and We had a lovely collaboration.. Rob is very easy to work with as a collaborator and was one of the first to give me enough room on melodies to make them work. We'd like to have a re-do on it... some day...as we did have interest in it...It was felt both the lyrics and melody were a good match..but not the demo/style...Neither Couch or i are made of millions...so...it's just a matter of time..and $.... Hugs..... to you both.....and thanks... Kaley...

Kaley, I should have left the post, I edited it when I saw that the music had already been written. But I will say it again, you have a gift for melody and for "prosity", figuring out what is the best music for a particular lyric.

Im not Sam, but I just happened to join JPF today, and notice that you are from PA. What a fascinating coincidence! This weekend I went up to PA for the first time in almost 15 years, from Chesapeake VA. Waynesboro? The main thing was the wonderful old town setting, old buildings, hill-like streets, and mountainous setting...all combining to be a very culturally appreciative setting. The drive was great and ... I had to wonder what things were like in winter when it snowed...and old town scenes, we see on television down here.
It was quiet, clean, fresh, proud, and simply made people like mineself that much more inquisitive about the stories behind the buildings, the people, and the scenes I was seeing.
My girlfriend had to go up there to move her 90 year old grand mother into an old folks home.
Take care.
