I recently changed places
with sister mary catherine
It took a little time
but it's finally really happened
I find after this struggle
there's another one before me
I guess I'll have to write a lot
now that I'm chasing corey
It hasn't been too easy
since I can't write all the time
and my muse tends to disappear
makes me struggle with my lines
maybe reading others' work
is a better tactic for me
an almost full time critic

that tampa dude just can't be caught
and graham's just "down under"
and brian austin whitney?
I can only stand in wonder
but that don't stop my mission
on a hunt to share some glory
but first things first, I'll have to run

yup you'll have to do a bit of posting to catch corey. might I suggest starting a lyric writing challenge? It could be about chasing things.
As for me i am still trying to make that elusive top 100 poster club before Beth does!(shhh don't tell her) I was chasing beth for a little bit.
Also I am trying to be the only Jpfer in recent memory to make the top 100 status in less than 3 months (hopefully not much more than two!) Might actually make it tonight we'll see though!

Fun one John, I guess I'm trailing Tricia. Looks like I'll be stuck there and trailing further behind these days. But, this summer look out!!! I used to get upset every time you disappeared for the tax season. Well, I guess I still do. I don't like it when people disappear. But, now I've had to do it myself. So, I understand better. Yeah, I do miss Corey's parodies Stan. I guess it's like everything. People disappear for whatever reason and come back. I think the only reason we're where we are in the "rankings" is because of our longevity. Well you are because of your output, but you're the exception. Don't think anyone's ever going to write "Topping Tampa"  Thanks for the bumb and subsequent vit, which I'll say thanks for now. It's a fun added verse. Ciao

"Beatin' Beth" are ya now Derek Yeah there are some rockets among us. Richard Blum is one who I think would be the record pace setter....but by all means, go for it. What's cool though is that I think you know it's not about the numbers...it's about being part of a group that loves to write... Ciao

No it's not all about the numbers. I really do enjoy helping other people with their songs. i also enjoy writing my own songs. As far as that goes i enjoy writing poetry or just writing in general. Though i also am excited about moving up here as well I must admit. And making it before Beth? The onerey little snot i am that's just icing on the cake lol.
