I was gonna' post a different song but, on some input from a few E's, I decided it wasn't quite working. I'm not gonna' mention any names, but one ain't half as bad as she lets on, one I luckily caught between falls and the other is famous for radio play, (Reminds me, gotta' send some songs to Tracy.) Thisn' might not be workin' either. Was wondering, could it be sung by either gender and which would be better? What else ails it? Wy (BRIDGE ADDED)
Shirkin' My Workin' V 1 It's work, work, work every day Not even sure I'm gettin' ahead Each check MEANS more bills to pay DON'T PLAN TO work until I'm dead V 2 This HONEY'S been hittin' on me She asked why I was puttin' her off Well tonight if the two of us agree Cuttin' loose, not countin' the cost C I'm shirkin' my workin' But doublin' my lovin' The best things in life Come free so they say When you're shirkin' your workin' And doublin' your lovin' You really don't care anyway V 3 Time to enjoy the finer things Like exploring the opposite sex 'Course we could get carried away But if we do,WELL what the heck
V 4 WITHOUT LOVE THE WORLD DOESN'T RHYME IT'S WHAT MAKES THIS BLUE MATBLE SPIN If it's not workin' the first time Then I'm just gonna' try it again C I'm shirkin' my workin' But doublin' my lovin' The best things in life Come free so they say When you're shirkin' your workin' And doublin' your lovin' You really don't care anyway
B YOU'RE WORTH EVERY PENNY I'M LOSIN' LIKE THIS AND EVERY THOUSAND DOLLARS TOO YOU CAN'T PUT A PRICE ON A HUG AND A KISS I WAS MISSIN' A MILLION DOLLAR YOU

LOVE THE "SHIRKIN MY WORKIN". GOOD STUFF.
COUPLE SUGS, K-O-S;
This HONEY'S been hittin' on me She asked why I was puttin' her off Well tonight if the two of us agree WE'RE Cuttin' loose, not countin' the cost
C I'm shirkin' my workin' But doublin' my lovin' The best things in life Come free so they say (THIS IS A BIT COUNTER TO YOUR "NOT COUNTING THE COST" LINE) When you're shirkin' your workin' And doublin' your lovin' You really don't care anyway
V 3 Time to enjoy the finer things Like exploring the opposite sex (I'D CONSIDER MORE OF A EUPHAMISM HERE) 'Course we could get carried away But if we do, why what the heck

Hey Wolv, This HONEY'S been hittin' on me--------- Yeah, that looks better. 'literates right in there. I'll prob'ly do that. WE'RE Cuttin' loose, not countin' the cost------ Well, we're on the same page. I think I had "we're" in there once but didn't think I could stand the silly--I'll see how that works out in the end. "Come free so they say (THIS IS A BIT COUNTER TO YOUR "NOT COUNTING THE COST" LINE)--------------- Well,I saw it like the shirkin' was gonna' cost him $ but other things are more important. I'll see what others think there. ------ I messed with the "explorin' space for a while---I thought it'd open up a lotta' possibilities in folks mind. I'll see what other comments I get on that. Lot's of things could go in there all right. Thanks for some good points Wy

Wy, I'm not sure I like the doublin' the lovin' line, even though it's cute. If the guy is working all the time he's got no time for making time so what's doubled??? Are you confused? I'm having a semi blonde moment. How bout in the mood for lovin'?
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Hi Tricia, Well, I didn't say he'd been workin' "all" the time. Just that he'd been workin' too hard, you know, like nurses and folks like that do <G>. And that's all coming to an end at the end of V 2. He's gonna' pay more attention to the lovin' thing ,ya' see. Need coffee. Thanks for looking it over Wy

Well, seeing as how I'm "not named" as one of your E's (while I think I'd like to be the first one you mention, I have a sneaky feeling it might be the second one -- kerPLUNK!), I should probably add in my two cents here. First off, too bad you couldn't work in that "bypass" line I suggested ( ha ha, inside joke folks, don't worry).... Secondly, this is a fun one. I'm not sure if I'm reading it right though, since Tricia remarked how you'd been working too much, so how'd you have time for fooling around; I thought that was the point, that you are SHIRKING your working so you CAN heat things up a bit.... Anyhoo, liked Wolv's sug on HONEY, but I'm a bit confused about the "transaction" described in that verse. Is she a "working girl"? Otherwise, what is the "cost"? For me, it might help if that last lines went something like this: This HONEY's been hittin' on me She asked why I was puttin' her off Well tonight if the two of us agree TO CUT LOOSE, NO WORRIES 'BOUT A COSTThen in verse three, to address the Opposite Sex issue, and also to bring in the work/not work business a bit more, how about going a different route.... TIME TO QUIT LIVING TO WORK GONNA WORK TO HELP ME LIVE BE MORE OPEN TO LOVIN' I'M READY WITH PLENTY TO GIVEOf course you know how I came by the name Bethsledge. So I had to do a least a LITTLE tweaking to keep up my reputation. Otherwise, nice work, Wy. Having seen it in it's infancy, with just two lines and a lot of potential, it's nice to see your baby all grown up. Later, Beth

Hey Wyman
Liked this one a lot cute. One issue I had was the tempo I had in my mind has this ending in a minute minus intrumental. Though if you did some mean guitar licks inbetween? Any rate loved the idea maybe make it a wee longer? Maybe I'm off lol Good luck with it! Sincerely Derek

G'day Beth Of The Boo Boo's, The "Bypass line", uh, yeah " I thought that was the point, that you are SHIRKING your working so you CAN heat things up a bit.... ---------Well, far be it from me to give advice, but possibly Tricia maybe should follow this guys example, uh, a little, On the other hand, you "do" understand it-------but I won't follow up that line of thought.<G> Cost---well, the thought was it was gonna' cost him big bucks to be shirkin' his work but he wasn't gonna' worry 'bout that. May have to make that plainer. Something like you have would probably work or, looking ahead, Derek wants a little more song so I'm thinking about a bridge and that could take care of it too. - ------ "Then in verse three, to address the Opposite Sex issue, and also to bring in the work/not work business a bit more, how about going a different route.... --------Well, your verse would work too but I liked the "exploring the opposite sex" idea.I may try to work something lime that into the last 2 lines though. Take care Bethsledge. Are you listening? I said TAKE CARE!!!!!! Thanks for the thoughts Wy

Hey Derek, You're right, Most of my songs'l come up short on the singing time of the words. usually around 1-1/2 min to 1-3/4 and have to ask the demo guy to extend it with instrumentals out to, like around 2-1/2 or so. Since I don't favor long intros, that means Some inbetween stuff and often a double C at the end I hadn't even checked the length but after you said that, I did and decided to whomp up a bridge. Needing more length isn't a very good reason to insert a bridge so I plead guilty and throw muself on the mercy of the critiquers.. I guess if it seems to add something worthwhile it lessens the sin . I'll attempt to edit in a first draft B and Wolv'a "honey" thanks for stirring my thinking Wy (At the tempo I hear it and the extra C, looks like it added around 25 sec. but the tempoI hear is subject to adjustment)

Hey Mudgie, Like where you're going with this 'un. Of course I hadda find a few spots to nit...being the old picker that I am. Had a bit of a problem with V1 on the check line. What you mean and what you say seem to not quite connect there. Mebbe consider: It's work, work, work every day Not even sure I'm gettin' ahead Each check MEANS more bills to pay DON'T PLAN TO work until I'm dead This HONEY'S been hittin' on me ASKED ME why I BEEN puttin' her off *repeat BEEN for impact Well tonight if THAT GAL AGREES WE'RE cuttin' loose, DESPITE the cost Time to enjoy the finer things Like exploring the OTHER sex 'Course we could get carried away But if we do, WELL, what the heck Biggest problem I have with this is the switch in POV in the bridge and last verse. You go from third person (this honey's) to YOU. Whazzup with that? I realize that losing the YOU messes your rhyme scheme in the bridge...but somebody's gotta keep you honest, Mudgie. I really like the hook here a lot. Hugs, Bobbie

Well, it's BBBB,Bad Bobbie, the Blonde Bombshell. I've been kinda' wishin' you'd show up. Ya' see it's like this----------I'm thinking of taking another of my periodic sabbaticals from the board, but wanted you to get back so I could attempt to get you riled up just before I left---you know, stoke up the fire and then leave to let it burn down a little <G> Shirkin' ---- Well I like "mean". I knew that line wasn't quite right. I'll probably edit that in. Some of your other changes work for me too. I'll probably edit some of them in. I'll look at the POV thing More coffee I assume you have the packing all done and just waiting for the house the become available Wy (I'll think on the best way to get you stirred up) (Any suggestions ?<G>) (Abybody?)

Hi Wyman Well I'm thinking this is just a nice upbeat fun write. The tweaking's workin....I wasn't bothered by the bridge, but I can see Bobbie's point of view. Maybe you can try on a not so perfect rhyme.... SHE's WORTH EVERY PENNY I'M LOSIN' BY NOT WORKIN' AND Each THOUSAND DOLLAR Bill DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS MISSIN' TILL I STARTED SHIRKIN' FOUND OUT I WAS MISSIN' A MILLION DOLLAR Girl Anyway, if you take a break from the board, I hope you keep lots of music projects going. Best to you ! jm

Hey JM, I'm thinking on the bridge. I figured I was entitled to take a different POV, being as it was a bridge, but still thinkin'. On taking a break, well, I've got something like 8 hooks and lyrics started that I thought were promising and are just kinda' settin' there. the board is addictive ya' know.. Haven't done any pitching for 'pert near a year and heard from a publ-label-producer person that I got my last "real" cut with that they're finally gonna' do the long awaited next album. I wrote about 8 lyrics with it in mind so got to hunt them up and polish 'em. Thanks for lookin' over shirkin' and suggestions Wy

Howdy Mudgie, I'll admit I ain't the rilin' type at the moment. LOL I am plumb worn out from all this packing and taking care of details I don't have enough gumption to let nuthin' git my goat (or any other animal for that matter, domestic or wild!!) Now I am off to the paint store to get some paint. Last folks who lived in my new place painted one bedroom BRIGHT orange!! YIKES..what WERE THEY THINKING?? It'll take two coats for sure to cover that color and being as how it's my guest room, I don't think ANYBODY could sleep peacefully in the room as it is now!! Now I gotta get my phone disconnected/connected, stop/start the mail service. Sheesh. Got all my kitchen stuff packed so I better get something to eat before I go home. LOL Guess the only way ta rile me these days would be to call me at 6 am! LOL And how come you are taking time off the board anyway? Nobuddy said you could do that!!! Who am I gonna pick on with you gone? Kaley-girl is too sweet!! Beth always has a retort ready. LOL Hugs, Bobbie

"Who am I gonna pick on with you gone?... Beth always has a retort ready." Well, I'm feeling your pain, Bobbie...but from where I'm sitting, I'm also glad to know if the music doesn't work out for me, I might still be able to hang out around here to throw in a zinger every now and again!! I'm telling ya, that Wy is shirkin his workin' alright... :o Ciao, Beth

Hey BBBB, As far as the rilin', well, I gotta' wait till KK get back in a couple weeks so I can fill in if necessary, so you'll surely be back in rilin' condition by then. Well, I feel for ya' on the packin', movin, connectin', disconnectin' thing. a pain in the butt for sure. "Bright orange" huh?---Well maybe that was the uh, play room Yep, two good coats and don't miss nothin' 6 A M !!!---Why that's time to get up anyway. As far as taking off, well, I'll prob'ly just quit posting. That's what takes the time--replying and critiquing the critiquers. Then you can just crit or not crit as you see fit. Naah, ain't no fun pickin' on Kaley and this Beth person, you speak of, I don't know her very well. I guess I could just pick someone at random but then they might not understand, so I guess I'll just wait on you <G>. Will two weeks be enough? Thanks for thw visit. I edited in some of you sugs Wy

"but from where I'm sitting," Well, I'm glad you're "sitting" anyway Boo. You can't fall if you're sitting, (Well, not very "far" anyway <G>) Well, but ya' see, I'm only "shirking" not "quitting" and ain't hardly started "shirking" yet. (In spite of being falsely accused, I might say) "That" ain't shirking. Wait'll ya' see "shirking" Thanks, uh, glad, uh Well, "you came by" <G> Wy

Hey now Ms Beth. Yanno...each of us has a callin'...LOL Some of us be writers and some of us be zingerfolks!! Then there's that bunch 'o folks who kin do both. LOL Me, I ain't sure I fit nowhere!! But I try to write an' I try to be a zingerfolk when I have time and inclination. Unfortunately, some people round this place know the truth about me and it's hard to fake otherwise these days!! But it's still fun ta hang out with these good folks ennyways!! And yeah...that Mudgie is sure shirkin' his 'mudgeonly duties these days. I know he ain't really goin' nowhere. He'll still lurk. He knows he's gotta keep an eye on things cause I'll zing him when he least 'spects it. LOL Even when he "says" he's goin'...he ain't GONE!!! You'll always have a warm spot for ya here, Ms. Beth!! LOL This place needs all the wit an' wisdom it can git!! ...(ta make up fer some other folks, who shall remain nameless!!) Hugs, Bobbie

Hey Bobbie, Ya really think I can dish out the wit AND the wisdom? :o In that case, you will DEFINITELY be getting either front row tickets to my first stand-up routine or the Grammy's! In the meantime, I figure you can pretty much go on with your life as planned, as the dates haven't actually been finalized or anything... BTW, thanks for that little "mudgeonly" description of our dear boy...I was wondering where the MUDGIE nickname came from...("Boo Boo", while endearing and appreciated, isn't exactly mysterious!) So you keep up the good work at your end...I've gotta get to my moonlighting Tooth Fairy job for a bit.... Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk! Beth

ROFL Beth... Well, I did call him Curmie for awhile...but nobody caught that one either. LOL Maybe folks thought he was green and slimy...well, come to think of it...LOL But I think Mudgie is much more adorable, which probably makes him blow a gasket, being thought of as endearing and adorable. What would the board be without its resident curmudgeon? I'd sure hate ta find out. We've been "enemies" LOL well, kinda sorta, since so long ago I cain't member what for or how come but it does give us an excuse to carry on! Reminds me of something I said to my folks once when I was about 6...."me and Billy Calhoun are myrtle enemas and I am never gonna speak to him again." My father, who was drinking a glass of milk at the time, spewed it across the table and my mother had to get up and go into the other room she was laughing so hard she couldn't catch her breath. I, on the other hand, was perfectly furious at not having my issue with Billy taken seriously whatsoever. The woes of childhood. I wonder if I can make that into a song? Would serve that Billy right to finally get his comeuppance at this time in his life!! Wish I could recall what he did that made me so upset. LOL Guess it was just being a boy. At that age they were ALL infuriating. Well, guess they are at ANY age!! Anyway...Mudgie ain't got a chance now with two of us to deal with. LOL Hugs, Bobbie

Hope you don't mind me throwing my two cents in here. Seemed the best way to throw them was to italicize some more caps to set apart my two pennies. Dang, things picked up around here while I was sleeping. Ya' see, I'm an early to bed, early to rise person. The early bird gets...most everything. (Kaley ain't usin' her dots anyway) Morning Bobbelina, hmmm zingers---oughta be a song there. Ah, that's more like it --Your "non-riley" condition just made me uneasy. Heck, ya' need "somethin'"in this life to "depend" on. I'm feeling better now. Course I couldn't feel "too" bad being as the Cubbies won their division. An' I didn't say, I was gonna' be "way" gone. Just "scarcer" ya' see. "the wit an' wisdom it can git!! ...(ta make up fer some other folks, who shall remain nameless!!) ------------Ah, that's more like it. It ain't no fun zingin' somebody if ya' don't get zinged back. <G> More coffee. (I heard a rumor that "some" folks don't even drink coffee. Wonder how they get started in the morning) Wy

Hey BethaBooBoo, "Ya really think I can dish out the wit AND the wisdom" Well, ya go to consider Boo, that Bobbie's kinda been in this P R stuff of one kind or another for quite a while. You don't "lie", you just put things in the best possible light ya' know <G> "mudgeonly"---Well, yeah, that does go back a ways. I kinda' forgot that you being relatively "wet behind the ears" board-wise, you might not know about that. Whew, am I ever runnin' behind. Ain't nothin' gone right this morning. I wouldn't a' thought you could "have" that much trouble without a woman around, but I guess it's possible occasionally <G> Wy

Well, it's Bobbelina again. How lucky can I get <G> Watch it with the green and slimy. I'm merely green "endearing and adorable"---That's worse than sweet!!!!!!!!!You sure know how ta' hurt a guy ...."me and Billy Calhoun are myrtle enemas "--------- "Would serve that Billy right to finally get his comeuppance at this time in his life!!---------------You mean Billy "lived" after making you "perfectly furious"----This must be one tough kid<G> Anyway...Mudgie ain't got a chance now with two of us to deal with. LOL-------------------------Now jes' remember that I had already made plans to make myself scarce back when you were still in a non-riley mood ("That" didn't last long <G>)---------So------------don't wanta' hear nothin' 'bout getting skeered off--It'll be a "planned scarceness" Whew, considering the "clean" life I live, I don't think I deserve all this abuse<G> Oh well, the Cubbies are in the playoffs. All is well Wy

Hey there Bobbie,
All I can say is, if you can find a half-way decent rhyme for ENEMA, I believe you're obligated to teach that little weisenheimer a musical lesson or two.
The only line I can think of is a REAL stretch...so much so that it might be insulting enough to him just to use it....So let's say this Calhoun fella is partly Italian (I am too, so I can make fun of him...), and he's sorta fresh off the boat, see, and he says,
"I no like-a your gran-a-ma!"
Now THAT is the sort of taunt that could start a rift -- mispronounced or otherwise. (In fact, maybe you've stumbled on to the next fun song challenge...have everyone pick a memorable person from our early days in school and write a little song to/about them... Oh well, there's still time to think on that....)
In the meantime, I think you need to strike while the enema's hot!!
Good luck!!
Beth

Hey Wysenheimer,
It is SO sweet of you to agree SO vehemently with Bobbie's perception of me and her assessment of my contributions to this board. :/ I recognized you as a smart one way back...even when my ears were WICKED wet!... :o
Anyhoo, no major injuries today....so all in all a good day. Just gearing up for another school week!

Hey Mudgie!! I ain't got time ner inclination to git riley with ya..<G> I am juss in the need for a bit o' humor to go along with my packin'!! Sheesh...this just never seems to STOP!!! Did get one file cabinet emptied today...a MAJOR accomplishment!!! My poor Ms Julia is getting VERY worried that I am going to leave her behind. She has to climb into every box as I start to fill it and into every drawer as it gets emptied. BTW...you ARE adorable and endearing!! <G> I know fer sure! Even when you are being 'mudgeonly. Yeah...that Billy kid (hee hee hee) did live...but barely. I do recall a couple of years later that he was coming after me on the playground. We had a creek that divided the playground and it had a bridge across it. The big kids could play on the other side of the creek...but you had to be in the 4th grade. We were in the 2nd as I recall. I don't 'member why he was chasing me...but I ran towards the bridge to get away from him. Just as he was about to tackle me...I ducked and he fell right in the creek. His daddy was the sheriff and a real nasty sorta dude. He came to school to complain to the principal about his kid getting all wet. The teachers had been watching from the window and saw him fall in...because of his own behavior. They told his dad it was all his own fault. I never got in trubble for that at all. at least not THAT time!! Hey BethieBoo.<G> I got me a rhyme for enema.><G> How's this?? She shot Billy a look so positively venemous Said, you an' me are myrtle enemas Zat work for ya? But you really needn't tell Mudgie that he is wise or smart. It'll all just go to his haid!! It's tough enough to live with him now!! Well, sorta live with him!! LOL What with his "planned scarcity"...LOL I think he is skeered to leave at the moment. Hugs, Bobbie

Hi Miss Nessa, Hmm, that's a lot to digest.I printed it off so I can look it over at my leisure. In front of this puter isn't my favorzite place to sit. I'll look over some of it now though. BUT HONEY'S been HUGGIN' on me---I always figured that huggin' stuff was dangerous. I hear there's a lot of that goes on at Pineyfest so I figure that's a dangerous place too. "LOVE's what makes THE WHOLE world ROCK"-------I like that line if I can decide on a rhyme. "Love makes this ol' world spin" has been used to death Thanks for the thoughts, I'll look the rest per better. Looks like there's more Bobbie and Boo to contend with, (I wrote a litle ditty about that, that I'll have to put in later) I'd better have another cuppa' coffee before I get to them, prob'ly take one apiece <G> Wy

Gadzooks, Bobbie, that's simply MAGICAL!! You'd think you did this for a living or something!! I think "Up the Creek" would be a great title....get crackin' girl...or was that packin'? Two Boos, Well, that first Boo was just a thing between co-conspirators, so I'll more or less pass it by "I recognized you as a smart one way back."-----Yeah, I s'pose intelligence" and stuff always shines through in spite of everything <G>.. "even when my ears were WICKED wet!"------- Don't think I ever heard the exression " WICKED wet!" before but...yeah I suppose in this instance it's appropo, <G> Oh, you're welcome <G>----------"It is SO sweet of you to agree SO vehemently with Bobbie's perception of me and her assessment of my contributions to this board" Well, I think Bobbelina is next so I'd better have that other cuppa' coffee Wy

Hey Bobbelina, You mean you ain't done packin' "yet"? You need to get some "help". Anything that makes you "non-riley", has got to be serious. <G>
BTW...you ARE adorable and endearing!! <G> I know fer sure! Even when you are being 'mudgeonly.-------------------------------That is just an unfounded rumor started by someone out to ruin my reputation. Pay no attention to it On this Billy person----you didn't by any chance do something to aggravate him in the "first" place did you? I'll have to admit, that "is" a pretty good rhyme for enemas "It's tough enough to live with him now!! Well, sorta live with him!! LOL ----------------------------Live with him--------Wow!!, Wouldn't "that" be somethin'? <G>. Now "that" is "scary"---It boggles the mind. Oh yeah, here's my little ditty----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bobbie And Boo C Wyman Griffith
Bobbie and Boo The terrible two Oh what a web they wove Laying in wait Day after day For poor, (Nearly INNOCENT),menfolk
V 1 They schemed and connived They didn't quite "lie" But they stretched The truth to the max There was trouble afoot Every road that they took You could always tell where They were at

"I'm sure the right will win out though" <G> Thanks for coming by. Oh, yeah, I wants' bounce a song idea, well actually a rough lyric. I'll E you later. Don't wanta' post it cause I'm a short timer Wy (I'm helpin' 'em fight the battle of Midway again on T V)

Wy,
Don't go mentioning my name and the word "sanity" in the same sentence too often. Some folks might get the idea that I am normal...Heaven forbid!
Send it when you get a chance. I'll take a look and get back to ya. Would be a pleasure to work with ya!

Hey Wyman,
Got a chuckle from your little ditty. Alas, it is midnight, and I'm just passing thru....hope to come back to look at it a bit more tomorrow, and wreak some more havoc....maybe even work on a song of my own...have a couple of ideas on the burner, but haven't been inspired to do much with 'em just yet...
Anyhoo, Always Boo

I plan to dispose of Bobbelina and Boo in "one" fell swoop. Now "that'd" be an accomplishment and on "one" cuppa' coffee. I oughta' feel good all day, Well, Bobbelina, "This" is the way the passage reads------------ -------- Laying in wait Day after day For poor, (Nearly INNOCENT),menfolk----------------Ain't that right, everybody? Maybe Bobbie's been packin' too hard. Take a break Bobbie. Oh, like 5 minutes<G> It's all good. ---Yep, Bobbie, it's all good---Don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff---in the greater scheme of things. I knew it on Billy----poor fella. You just wait til that Bethieboo is back to full strength!!---Well heck, Boo keeps re-injuring herself and I've only got 'bout a week left till KK gets back and I can make myself scarce. Ok---I need another cuppa; coffee, but I'm gonna; dispose of Boo first. Hey Boo, Midnight!!!!!---No wonder you don't heal. You need to go to bed at a decent time. You may not need any "beauty" sleep ner' nothin ,but you need "healin'" time!!!! "maybe even work on a song of my own.."-----Well, you should never crowd the muse Boo--Probably should give it, say, 'bout a week. There now--I feel all better--It's great when you get your day started off right <G> Wy .

Howdy do, Wy! Do you think I can be disposed of so easily? HA! I do however, concur with your assessment that a swift recovery for this particular BOO is unlikely. BTW, midnight ain't nothing...usually I'm up until 2-3 for several nights in a row, then crash early one night....around these here parts, we refer to it as the Predisone Rollercoaster. It's a great drug, but man, the side effects are brutal (including sucking the life out of my bones...that's why I keep breaking them so easily). BUT, today I'm taking a major STEP to help in my recovery....we hired a real live bona fide HOUSECLEANER! I think finally all these maladies caught up with me, I begged JJ (which wasn't that difficult, please refer back to "Instrument of Pleasure !), and he finally gave in. So there are currently three women doing the Initial Cleaning...they expect to be here SIX HOURS!! I think for that amount of time, they should be hosing me down too!! Anyway, I was a bit hurt when you suggested I rest my muse....if I wait too much longer, you won't see my next endeavor before you "LEAVE"...or...WAIT a minute....is that part of your Master Plan??? Dispatch me by ignoring me??? WOE IS ME!! Go ahead, knock me down (hopefully, one of these strong cleaning women will be able to pick me up, dust me off, and gently rest me on the couch....) Gonna do some lurking, dude, maybe even have a cup of coffee myself... Ciao, Me

Predisone------That dang predisone, I've heard lots of bad things about it. My brother-in-law took quite a bit of it. I didn't remember the side effects but they weren't good. I "thought" there must be something with your bones but didn't figure it was 'my' business. "3" women!!! sounds like two too many. Hope you're able to find stuff after they leave.. Three~~ women---Hmmm if I wait too much longer, you won't see my next endeavor before you "LEAVE"...----------Uh, yeah that was the general general idea Boo <G> I is caught up again as KK would say (Hurry home Kaley) Wy will be able to pick me up, dust me off -----------With "three" of them, they should be able to dust "everything" off.

OOOH WY!!!
I really like this one. I'd like to sing it once it gets some melody - it's one that really touches me down deep.
It's nice to know that I've been missed around here. Life caught up with me and help me captive for a few weeks, but I'm about to break loose.
Tracy did receive your tunes - I've heard a couple already this evening!

Hey Mudgie, We wimmin cain't be disposed of QUITE so quickly. LOL I see you "tried" to change yer li'l ditty to make it look like I had it pegged all wrong...but ya see, ya fergot to fix both of the choruses so the last one is still the way you wrote it which DOES make it look like you are talkin about you bein "nearly menfolk" whjch doesn't really surprise me!! LOL A leopard can't change its spots ya know!! You kin go ahead and leave now. LOL Just be VERY aware that you might find some surprises here on occasion. hee hee hee And Bethieboo...watch out fer those cleanin' ladies!! I could tell ya horror stories. Last time I hired some, I came home to find a lotta stuff missin!!! Hope your place is merely clean...not cleaned out. Being as how you are gonna be THERE whilst they clean, you will prolly be fine. Hugs, Bobbie

Hi Charlann, Yeah on Tracy ,I listened quite a while this A M and heard the 3 I sent in all twice I think. Emaline sent in three and he played all of them twice and at least one, 3 times She could only get it to play in pieces ya' know. Does anyone know if that's 'cause she's on dial up? And how do you get away from it playing that way? Later on, it started repeating the same 3 words over and over nd after that I couldn't get it to play anymore. I wanted to ask, how many hours and/or days is he on? It didn't sounnd like he got all that many from JPF. I figured he'd be flooded Thanks for the good words on the song. It might have a market though maybe limited to the "fun" category

Hey Wyman!
Emmaline's problem is probably cuz she's on dial up - it takes a lot of bandwidth to play the stream.
Tracy's playing the JPF showcase the first Tuesday of each month, for 24 hours eastern standard time. He's having some problems with the program he uses to broadcast his stream and that is why songs are breaking up or repeating or playing super fast. He's contacting the software company and should have it resolved before next month's showcase.
He's only received about and hour and a half worth of music from JPF so far. As more folks learn about his showcase songs are slowly trickling in.
On Thursday evenings he plays oldies, mostly surf and drag tunes if you're interested.

Hi again Charlann, Yeah, I figured Dial up was the problem. Seems like a while back, someone told how to get around that (sort of), even with Dial Up. Maybe I'll post a question over on the appropriate board "He's having some problems with the program he uses"--------------OK, that explains that. Yeah, on the hour and 1/2--thought there'd be more-- Well maybe it'll pick up as you say Thanks Wy
