I was a Heavy Metal kid more or less in those days. Mercifully, there are no photos of me at that age.

This is a really fun thread. I love to look at pictures from back when...

It has not been that long since I graduated (2000), but I like to think that I have not changed that much.

In high school, I was very athletic. I played basketball, tennis, golf, softball, and ran track. I was also a cheerleader. I was on the student council, Spanish Club, Yearbook Staff, Honor Society, etc. I never really got into any trouble in the classroom...now, off school grounds, that's another story...lol!

Melissa, you haven't changed one bit. smile Tom, I'm not sure what that agency is.

Oh this is really fun! I love looking at all the photos and listening in to all the chatter. OK, I'll go find some... I have a few on this hard drive somewhere.

What was I like though--oh, mercy. Can we talk college, instead??

In high school I was a self-righteous, insecure, depressed and somewhat repressed misfit... didn't manage well with the crowd from church though I LOVED church (and still do: that's been a constant guiding star), but fit in all right with my other friends. Straight A's, but didn't want anyone to know it. Didn't take honors classes because I didn't want to be in that crowd.

I didn't go anywhere cool (except Disneyland, senior year) or go to any concerts, didn't do any clubs or sports (sports, ha! are you kidding? add "clumsy" to the list)... had a LOT of private dreams but no confidence to pursue them... not until I'd been married at least 5 years or so and had a few kids. Ugh. Don't even like remembering high school. Though it wasn't traumatic or anything... just not the "best years of my life" by any stretch of the imagination. <shudder> Now college, that's another story. That was FUN!! I got to break out of my shell some. And it was finally cool to be smart. Ha.

All righty, I'll go hunt down a photo or two.

Okay!
Hey, I figured out you can make photo albums on your SOUNDCLICK account. I made one here: http://www.soundclick.com/members/d...nt=photos&albumID=9003&id=171142
Putting the pics in this post anyway. But that was easy!

[Linked Image]

...10 tries, but I got it to work! Here's my senior pic. 1986.

Here's BYU Homecoming 2 years later, and that's my sweetheart Steve. Coming up on 19th anniversary in a few months. smile

Here we are at a "How to Host a Murder" party:

I tried 15 times to get the wedding photo link to work, but it's not happenin'. So if you want to see wedding pics, click the top link in this post and check the Soundclick album!
Fun thread, Tricia! Thanks!!

Linda and Alan, great photos!! I've got some of Noel, but I can't figure out how to change it from a Word document to a jpeg file. If someone can assist me with it or will tell me how to change it, I'd appreciate it.

Shelia, good to see you on this thread. You might as well dig around and find an old high school photo of yourself, too.

Jeff, hi!! Good to see you. I find that hard to believe about you-the fact that you were clueless. I think we all were at that age, truthfully. Shy, too. Unsure of ourselves and what was going to happen around us at any given moment. I remember being terrorized by the evening news. In fact, I can remember when we had regular nuclear fallout drills. Like getting down and putting your hands over your head might help. RIGHT!!!

Hi Tricia,
I'm not *sure* this will work, but you can give it a try... see if you can "Save As HTML" from Word. Which will turn it into a webpage. Then open the doc with Explorer, and see if you can right-click the image.
???
Just a guess...
You could also try right-clicking the image in Word to see if it will give you any "save picture as" options. Word is a bear for working with graphics!
...One more option is to try highlighing the photo, then COPY it, and see if it will PASTE to Paint or some other photo/picture editing program.
Good luck! I hope something works!

Linda

I've tried cutting and copying to another document or even to Photoshop so I can "save as" jpeg. I've tried importing it into Photoshop. Nothing works. Photoshop doesn't recognize it as a photo so it doesn't show up as an option to highlight. If that makes sense. I do know that Vista works a little bit differently than other Windows versions.

I figured as much. I remember being frustrated about the same sort of thing. Maybe I gave up. smile

Did you try to save the *entire* Word document as HTML?
Look at your "Save As" options. It should be there. It's there in XP, so I doubt they'd have removed it in Vista.
Once Windows thinks it's a webpage... you might be able to sneak it out of there via Explorer. Try it just to see.

I empathize with your frustration! Word can be maddening.

I'll try it, Linda. Thanks. Those photos of Noel are TOO cute. Linda, you are brilliant. Noel, after much ado here they are. Noel is the second row, second from left in the group photo:
